Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese With everyone rushing around to buy presents for Christmas, a local 10-year-old was inspired to do something special for others this season. Jazzlyn Lusby was headed home from church at LCBC and felt the calling to help others. In her moment of inspiration, she decided to ask for nothing for Christmas and, instead, start working to buy stuffed animals called Woofis to give to children in local hospitals, seniors at nursing homes and even internationally to children who have been rescued from human trafficking. The young girl began doing odd jobs, holding pizza dough fundraisers and whatever else she could do to raise money to buy, which at the last count was, over 210 Woofis. Jazzlyn and her family have been visiting local hospitals, and nursing homes and they say the experience has been life-changing, as this one simple act of kindness means so much to both young and old. Jazzlyn shares that some of the recipients have wept upon receiving the gift, which includes Bible verses. She hopes to inspire other children to do the same. Jazzlyn is the daughter of Jamie and Jimmy Lusby of Denver, and she is shown with a small collection of her Christmas giving project.
