FUN Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese Days are slowly getting shorter and shorter and a light chill is starting to fill the evening air. Fair season is upon us and autumn is taking the reigns with fall foliage getting closer each day. Shown in the top photo is a huge field of sunflowers in Stevens, and underneath shows two roadside stands already loaded with pumpkins. The stand on the right is along Route 23 in New Holland and the wagon has a big variety or large pumpkins. The photo on the left is a Hinkletown roadside stand, which has a nice orderly selection to choose from.

Fiddlers Picnic Fills The Air With Beautiful Music In New Holland Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese The much-anticipated Fiddlers Picnic returned to the New Holland Park on Labor Day and was enjoyed by musicians and hundreds of spectators. The New Holland Summer Arts Association hosted the end of summer Fiddlers Picnic on Labor Day under blue skies and dozens of musicians turned out to play with others in an impromptu creative expression of musical talents. Fiddles, banjos, guitars, dobros and many other instruments joined in small group sessions to play classics like “I Saw The Light” and the Beverly Hillbillies theme song. Shown are more than a dozen musicians gathered in one session showcasing their musical skills.
