The annual Adamstown Community Days carnival will be held a week later than normal this year in the Adamstown Grove, just off route 272, next to the Adamstown Pool. The threeday carnival will take
place on Thursday evening, May 29, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday, May 30, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Saturday, May 31, from 12:00 noon to 10:00 p.m. Shown in the photo, from

Shopping News Memorial Day Deadline
Due to the Monday, May 26 Memorial Day holiday, The Shopping News will observe the following deadlines for the May 28 issue: News Articles: Wednesday, May 21, 12:00 noon. Display Ads: Thursday, May 22, 4:00 p.m. Classified Ads: Friday, May 23, 9:00 a.m. The Shopping News will be closed Monday, May 26. Normal office hours will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27.
The 42nd Annual Terre Hill Antique and Classic Car Show is coming to Terre Hill Park on Sunday, June 1, rain or shine. There will be breakfast, lunch and lots of amazing vehicles and fun, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., all benefit the Weaverland Valley Fire Department.
Admission for spectators is free. Each of the 18 classes in the car show are sponsored by a local business. There is a cost for vehicle registration, which occurs from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Each entrant will receive a prize ticket
and numbers will be drawn and prizes given away from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The winners of the car show will be announced at about 2:30 p.m. and will be paraded to the stage area for their cash prizes. Winners are chosen by popular vote. A Best of
Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese Show is chosen every year by the fire company staff, and the winner gets a prize package and trophy, and that vehicle will appear on next year’s dash plaque. The trophy is sponsored by a local business.
