In honor of International Firefighter Day, Ephrata businesses, schools, church es and local residents joined together to share their appreciation for their vol unteer firemen, fire police and staff, through cards, gift cards and food. The Ephrata businesses signed a giant ‘thank you’ card and donated over 160 gift cards to the fire
staff, while five restaurants supplied all the food for their celebration! Hundreds of students from the middle/ intermediate school and high school signed giant thank you cards, while the ele mentary schools created their own cards. These tokens of appreciation for these selfless volunteers were given to the fire staff

Get ready for a night of medieval drama! Cocalico High School presents, “The Stolen Throne,” an original tragedy written and directed by Carson Weaver and Michael Zepp. The play delves into the chaos and conflict that erupts following
the death of Queen Daly as rivals fight for the crown. Performances will be held in the Cocalico High School cafeteria on Friday, May 16, and Saturday, May 17. Guests should enter through the school’s main doors. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.,
with dinner served at 6:45 p.m., followed by the show starting promptly at 7:00 p.m. There is a cost for tickets, which includes both dinner and the show. For those wishing to attend only the performance, show-only
