FRIDAY, APRIL 3 Akron Church of the Brethren, 613 Main Street, Akron, will hold a Good Friday Service, at 6:00 p.m.
SATURDAY, APRIL 4 Mellingers Evangelical Lutheran Church, 80 Gockley Road, Stevens, will hold an Easter Egg Hunt with gifts for all, at 11:00 a.m.
Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese The Akron Lions Club is busy preparing for its Annual Easter Egg Hunt this coming Saturday, April 4 at 1:00 p.m. in the Loyd Roland Park in Akron. The age groups are as follows: zero to three years, four and five years, first and second grades, third and fourth grades and fifth and sixth grades. The event is held rain or shine and all children receive a chocolate bunny. Those attending are strongly encouraged to be there ahead of the 1:00 p.m. start time because the event will start promptly. Shown in the photo is Easter bunny, Bun E. Ephrata High School Science Fair Winners Earn Recognition
The Annual Easter Egg Hunts held by the Baron Stiegel Lions Club of Clay and Elizabeth Townships are set, rain or shine, at 1:00 p.m. at the Mt. Airy Picnic Grove on Church Street, and at the Lutheran Church Grove on Route 322 in Brickerville. For children ages one through twelve.
SATURDAY, APRIL 4 The Ephrata Lions Club will hold an Easter Egg Hunt at the Thomas Grater Community Park, Ephrata, at 1:00 p.m. For children ages one through ten years old. Prizes awarded. Rain or shine.
SATURDAY, APRIL 4 The Bareville Fire Company, 211 East Main Street, Leola, will hold an All You Can Eat Breakfast from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. There is a cost.
The Shopping News will be closing at 12:00 Noon on Friday, April 3 in observance of Good Friday.
