Instruction regarding use and disposal of SHIMANO Fishing

Products containing Synthetic Polymer Microparticles (SPM) Related to REACH Regulation Entry 78, Paragraph 5 Our fishing products listed in Appendix 1 contain synthetic polymer microparticles (SPM) in the mixtures applied to the products. However, the synthetic polymer microparticles (SPM) in these products falls under the exempted uses specified in 5(a) and 5(c). This instruction is provided to supplement the user manual with necessary information on use and disposal methods to prevent the release of synthetic polymer microparticles (SPM) into the environment. [Use Method] Please review the precautions and warnings described in the user manual and use the product according to the user manual. Do not disassemble products falling under 5(a) in Appendix 1. For products falling under 5(c) in Appendix 1, synthetic polymer microparticles (SPM) is firmly bonded to the product and will not be released into the environment during normal use. [Disposal Method] Products should be properly disposed according to local government regulations. If products falling under 5(a) in Appendix 1 are accidentally disassembled, disassembled parts and any paper contaminated with mixtures should be put into a bag, any opening of the bag should be sealed, and then the bag should be disposed, to prevent synthetic polymer microparticles (SPM) release into the environment. Synthetic polymer microparticles (SPM) in products falling under 5(c) in Appendix 1 is firmly bonded to the product and will not be released into the environment during normal disposal.
