Group Project

Interior Renovation & Logo Design

The Healthcare Technology & Innovation Centre is part of the NYP 360 Healthcare Initiative to engage the healthcare industry for collaboration activities. The Centre will host collaborative activities for various stakeholders in the healthcare industry such as hospitals, community care facilities and hospitals as well as biomedical and healthcare companies and government agencies. It will act as a project space, collaboration and discussion space, as well as a facility to showcase existing R&D and industry projects. Design Concept: Contemporary, Relevant and Progressive, Interactive.

Entrance

At the entrance, visitors will be exposed to almost all of the “rooms” that are featured here and those are the smart home, smart ward and the diagnostic cluster. This spaciousness allows visitors to adjust to the spaces better as everything is out in the open. The frequent use of glass in cutouts of partition walls helps to create a sense of space but also separation.

Workspace & Diagnostic Cluster

This area is made such that visitors will mainly interact and earn knowledge on topics that will be shown here. Multiple usage of posters and tablets are to enhance visitors switch between reading and interacting, making this space less boring. There is also a work area for some of the students to do their work here.

Smart Home & Maker Space

The smart living room, bedroom and dining room are all linked to each other, enabling visitors to get a better sense of the exhibits and not have to travel around as much. Home-related projects (e. IOMT Night Walker, Smart Rug, etc) are being installed & displayed within the Smart Home. Lightings, television and other electrical appliances can be controlled using a smartphone.

Smart Ward

This is a contextualisation space to display NYP surgical & medical intervention applications with formal hospital setting and similar lighting and environment

Meeting Room This enclosed meeting room is for private discussions with clients and briefings for students visiting the exhibits.

Central Spine

The central spine has posters where the visitors can be informed about the exhibits around them. The stool/platforms in the middle stretching down the central spine can act as a stool for visitors to rest and read the posters, as well as a platform for exhibits to be displayed

Functional Mobility & Enabling Technology (FMET) Cluster For this area, interactivity is also the main focus, similar to the first diagnostic cluster. Tablets for visitors to use and understand the exhibit better.

There is a television provided for students to receive a presentation or briefing at this area. The treadmill at the corner conductis gamification rehab application for visiters to experience.

Exit The stools can allow visitors to feel comfortable with a place to for them to relax and have discussions. The makerspace has an opening towards the exit for easy access. The television allows visitors to recap on what they have seen in the spaces. The shelves can be used to put more exhibits.
