OFFICIAL CONTEST ENTRY RULES FOR SHERIDAN’S WINTER 2025 NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION CONTEST This contest is open to current students starting a new program at The Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning (the “Sponsor”) in January 2025. The rules of the contest will be interpreted and subject to Canadian federal, provincial, municipal, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. No purchase necessary to enter or win.
“WINTER 2025 NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION CONTEST” (the “Contest”) is administered by the First
Year Experience Team (the “Sponsor”). Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Contest should be directed to the Sponsor at studentsuccess@sheridancollege.ca, Attn: Janessa Williamson, First Year Experience Program Coordinator, Email: Janessa.williamson@sheridancollege.ca. By participating in the Contest, each contestant (the “Contestant”) agrees to be legally bound by these Official Contest Entry Rules (the “Rules”) and acknowledges having read these Rules. 1. CONTEST OVERVIEW Students starting a new program at Sheridan in January 2025 have the chance to enter to win one of five prizes of $1,000 towards their tuition or one of ten prizes of $50 on their onecard. Students can enter the contest by attending their program orientation session and completing the contest entry form. 2. CONTEST PERIOD The Contest is run by the Sponsor and will begin on January 3, 2025 at 12:01 a.m. ET and end on January 17, 2025 11:59 p.m. ET (the “Contest Period”), with 5 winners selected. Winners will be selected by random draw. A random draw of will be held on January 24th at approximately 3:00pm. The Sponsor will confirm that the selected winners are eligible. If a selected winner is not eligible, the Sponsor will draw another name. This will continue until 5 eligible winners are selected. Winners will be contacted by phone and via email. The Sponsor reserves its right to cancel, terminate, modify, amend, extend, or suspend the Contest. 3. Be a current student of Sheridan starting a new full-time program in January 2025. Have completed all requirements listed below in Paragraph 3 - How to Enter the Contest. Be at least 18 years of age. If the Contestant is not of the legal age (i.e. 18 years) (“Minor”), the parent/guardian of the Minor must have read and agreed to these Rules on behalf of the Minor. Contestant must be a resident of Canada (excluding Quebec) Not be an employee of Sponsor, or any member of any such employee’s immediate family (regardless of where they live) or persons with whom they are domiciled. Have agreed to comply with applicable laws (including but not limited to libel and obscenity), assume responsibility for their activities, and not to harass, disrupt, abuse, or invade the privacy rights of others; Page 1 of 5
