The 29th annual golf event to benefit Shenandoah Valley Academy (SVA) was held on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Bryce Resort. More than $58,000 was raised to help pay the final ballfield lights invoice; remaining funds will help fund the renovation of Twomley Hall Ad Building library this Summer. The weather was beautiful. A little fine golf was played. The highlights of golf prowess were acknowledged with cash prizes, and numerous door prizes (generously donated) were distributed. Thank you, everyone, for a successful benefit for our beloved SVA. Equally important, it was a fun day with SVA Alumni and Friends. Sincere appreciation to the generous sponsors listed in this report. Most of the work to ensure fundraising success is completed prior to play with significant sponsorships. Twenty-eight (28) teams participated, at course capacity for the third year. Additional funds were raised the day of with mulligan purchases and a putting contest. The field was pre-registered and pre-paid at this event. We enjoyed greetings, fellowship, and refreshment before the shotgun start. A full buffet lunch and prize distribution concluded our day. It was a special honor for the Alumni Association and National Honor Society students to host you this year as we are celebrating the completion of the three-field ballfield lights installation at SVA. It is only because of you, loyal Alumni Golf cohort, that this project––once only a dream––has become reality. Thank you for your consistent, generous support of this fun event that also makes an important difference for SVA student experience. See you next year on April 16, 2027!
