VOLUME 18 • APRIL 2025 • EDITION 4
At the Whiteside County Senior Center ... April is National Volunteer Month. With severe weather looming, it is always a good time to make sure you have a plan for bad weather. Test batteries, ensure that your meds are filled regularly and that you have some water to take them with. It is always a good idea to have a weather radio on hand for weather notifications!
They are always willing to help with the food pantry, special events, Vets Coffee, stuffing envelopes, and more. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to our WONDERFUL volunteers for everything you do!!
SCAM ARTISTS ARE ALWAYS ON THE PROWL! Remember, social security, the
DMV, and Medicare/Medicaid will NEVER call you for information over the phone! If you are ever unsure whether a call in legit, please hang up and call your local police department to verify!
In the event that the Senior Center or Public Transportation needs to close or have a delay,
