GOLDEN ECHO

From the LCCOA

The holidays are a special time at the Lee County Council on Aging, and we are thrilled to celebrate the season with our community! December will be filled with opportunities to gather, share a meal, sing a few songs, and enjoy the company of friends, family, and neighbors.

We begin the month with our Caregivers Support Group on Monday, Dec. 2. This group offers a safe and welcoming space for those caring for loved ones to share experiences, gather resources, and find

comfort in knowing they are not alone.

Then, mark your calendars for one of our favorite traditions, the Community Breakfast, on Saturday, Dec. 6, in the Post House Ballroom. Breakfast will be served beginning at 10 a.m., featuring Mary’s biscuits and gravy, with a suggested donation of $5 to help support senior programs right here in our community. Immediately following breakfast, head downstairs to the Senior Center for Santa’s Workshop, where children can shop for affordable gifts for family members, enjoy treats, and experience the joy of giving. Seniors will also be on hand to help wrap presents, while members of the Key Club assist children in gathering gifts, making it a wonderful inter-generational experience full of fun and holiday spirit!

On Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 1 p.m.,

From the WCSC

Board meeting

We want to thank everyone on our Board of Directors! All of the members on our board are volunteers who take time out of their busy schedules to help better our Senior

Center and Public Transportation. There will be no board meeting in December! The next Board meeting will be on Jan. 28, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. in the dining room.

Golden Meals
