This month we especially honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice, those who have served, and those who are currently serving our country! The Senior Center will be closed Nov 11 to observe Veterans Day.
We handed out 600 free turkeys this year for Thanksgiving. Thank you to Riverbend Food Bank for the turkey delivery! WCSC hopes everyone enjoys family, friends, and good eats this year for Thanksgiving! The Senior Center will be closed Nov. 28 & 29 for Thanksgiving.
Our last two trips of the month are quickly approaching! See the “Upcoming Trips” on page XX for our destinations. Spots are quickly filling up, so please get your name on the list as soon as possible! Keep an eye out for our trips for 2025!
Turkey, stuffing, corn, and pie! We will be having one holiday meal this year to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas together! I want to give a huge thank you to the staff and volunteers who spend a lot of time to plan, prepare and serve our meals. I also want to thank all of the patrons who participate in our 50/50 raffle — we donate profits from the raffle to United Way of Whiteside County.
Open Enrollment is in full swing! It star ted Oct. 15. If you have not made an appointment with our Outreach Department to make sure your insurance needs are met, now is the time to do so!
