Congratulations 4-H Participants and Award Winners As the 2025 fair season comes to a close, I am filled with pride at the accomplishments of our 4-H members in Carroll, Lee, and Whiteside counties. Each fair was a celebration of dedication, discovery, and growth—a chance for youth to demonstrate not only the results of their projects, but also the confidence and skills they are building for the future. Attending this year’s fairs, I was struck by the energy and creativity on display. From livestock to visual arts, photography to environmental science, our 4-H members showcased the wide range of interests and talents that make this program so unique. The curiosity, problem-solving, and resilience they exhibited remind me that 4-H is about far more than projects—it is about preparing young people to thrive in life.
