The bride is the daughter of Mark and Jill Ehredt of Rock Falls. The groom is the son of Bradley and Andrea Leuschke of Rock Falls. Jessica was attended by maid of honor, Natalie Ehredt, sister of the bride. Serving as bridesmaids were Erin Leuschke, sister-in-law of the couple, and Lacey Colwell, friend of the couple. Matthew’s best man was Andrew Leuschke, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Patric Leuschke, brother of the groom, and Ry Colwell, friend of the couple.
Ben Owen, friend of the couple, officiated the wedding. James and Hayden Leuschke, nephews of the couple, were ring bearers, and Haylee Leuschke, niece of the couple, served as flower girl. The reception immediately followed the ceremony at RiverCenter in Davenport, Iowa. The bride and groom are graduates of Rock Falls High School and Bradley University. Sword & Fleischer Nov. 12, 2015, in Du Quoin It is with great happiness that Larry and Teresa Sword of Sterling announce the marriage of their daughter, Gwendolyn Grace, to Korbin W. Fleischer. Korbin is the son of Robert and Dionis Fleischer of Freeport. He is a sergeant in the Army, currently serving in South Korea. Gwen is a radiologic technologist at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Gwen and Korbin were married Nov. 12, 2015, in Du Quoin, when Korbin was home on leave. Their next adventure will begin when Korbin is assigned to Fort Hood, Texas, in May-June, 2016.

MARRIED JUNE 27, 2015 Madison Henry and Carl Monk were married June 27, 2015, at Koten Chapel on the campus of North Central College in Naperville, where both the bride and groom attended and graduated with their undergrad degrees. A reception was at Woodlawn Arts Academy in Sterling. Madison is the daughter of Jim and Marilyn Henry of Sterling. Madison graduated on June 5 with a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Rosalind Franklin School of Medicine and Science in North Chicago.
Carl is the son of Colin and Katy Monk of Morris. Carl graduated in May with a master’s degree in history from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Madison and Carl honeymooned in Hautulco, Mexico, and now reside in Columbia, Missouri. Carl is working toward a Ph.D. in history, and works as a TA at the University of Missouri. Madison is employed as a physician assistant with the Inpatient Family and Community Medicine Department at the University of Missouri Hospital.

Robert “Bob” Hazelwood and Elaine Lawson were married Dec. 17, 1965, in Dixon. They met at the White Pines Roller Rink in rural Mount Morris. They are the parents of Bonnie
Winston of Mount Sterling, Tammy Bushman of Lake in the Hills, and Chris Hazelwood of Dixon. They have five grandchildren. Elaine, who was born in Polo, retired from BorgWarner after 32 years, and Bob, who was born in Dixon, retired from Dixon Direct after 44 years.

see, Florida, until retirement in 1998. He also had a private law practice. George started as a computer programmer for Illinois Bell Telephone Co. in Chicago in 1969. He transferred to AT&T in Orlando in 1982 and retired as a senior systems analyst in 1998. Siblings, John Danek of Rock Island, Charles Danek and Thomas Danek, both of Dixon, and Bette Hertz of Boulder, Colorado, helped celebrate.

Birthday Ms. Audra Sylvia Cothren, together with her husband, Morris Johnson, until his passing in 1976, dedicated her time and energy to nurturing and providing for two successful daughters, Kathryn (Johnson) Ward and Hazel (Johnson) Kilgore. Born in Russellville, Arkansas, she celebrated her 102nd birthday on the 24th day of November 2015. She’s still in good health. Audra came to Sterling many, many times to visit her daughter, Kathryn, and Dale Ward, when Kathryn and Dale married on May 31, 1949, and moved to Sterling.
