Friend, Tom Ebenezer, served as best man, and Mary’s sister, Sandra Davis, served as maid of honor. An Army veteran, Jack worked at General Electric and Products Unlimited. He and his brothers owned and operated Sterling Pipe Center in Sterling. In his retirement,
Jack continues to operate the pipe tobacco business online and enjoys golfing when the weather is nice. Mary also worked at General Electric and Products Unlimited. In her retirement, Mary enjoys shopping and spending time with friends. She also likes the occasional trips to the casino to try her luck. Jack and Mary are the parents of two daughters, Dora (Bob) Hetzel and Cristy Gallegos, both of Oak Forest.

The couple have six grandchildren, Kyle Hetzel, Courtney Hetzel, Janelle Henry, Rachel Henry, Alec Gallegos, and Ashley Gallegos; and one great-granddaughter, Alana Benoit. rant, “Parkway,” with family and friends. It then continued to Jumers Casino and Hotel, where they had a buffet supper with their kids, did some gambling, and spent the night. They went home Thursday after a buffet breakfast.
Mr. and Mrs. Teddy Dale Harmon of Whittington celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Nov. 4, 2015. Ted and Donna were married in Franklin County on Nov. 4, 1955. They are the parents of two children, David (deceased) and Peggy (Dave) Squires. They have five grandkids and 13 greatgrandkids. They moved to Rock Falls in the 60s. Ted worked at NWSW. Donna worked at Lawrence Brothers for a short time. She
then went on to become a beautician, and opened her own salon, Donna’s Beauty Hut in Rock Falls. They returned to their hometown in 1981. Ted worked there as a machinist, and published a book, “Sally’s Eyes.” They both are retired now. Their love for each other is an example of what marriage should be. As a special way to preserve these memorable occasions, quarter-, half- or full-page announcements can be purchased. Those paying for announcements will have the opportunity to proof them before publication. Customers will be contacted when the announcement is ready to be proofed. At that time, any corrections or additions can be made as needed at SVM’s
Dixon and Sterling offices. For convenience, proofs will be emailed without calls whenever possible. Photos may be submitted in color or black and white, and in any size. Emailed photos should be in JPEG format with a resolution of 200 and a width of at least 5 inches for best quality. All announcements can be printed without photos if desired. Celebration forms are available at the Telegraph and Daily Gazette classified departments or by email. Sauk Valley Media is not responsible for errors due to unreadable information. A daytime phone number and email address (if available) are requested to help to ensure accuracy. Weddings are available in basic (free) form (one photo only of the couple), quarter-

For 100th and older birthdays, SVM will publish free announcements in a paid format; the announcement size will be determined by the editor. Reunions are for area residents who are gathering, or have gathered, for a family or class reunion. Reunion items will be edited due to space limitations, and lists of all those attending are not available in the free format. Photos also are not available for a free announcement, but can be used in any of the paid announcements. If a large group photo is submitted, only one can be used in the quarter-page format, one photo is recommended in the half-page format, and up to four normally can be used in the full-page format. Large group photos
with long lists of names may require at least a halfpage paid announcement.
