Letha Murney Letha Carol Gaar Murney will observe her 91st birthday Oct. 2, 2015, at the home of her daughter, Constance Murney. Mrs. Murney was born in Argo Fay, in Carroll County, to a family of nine. As a young woman, she was known for her lovely voice and briefly trained in opera. She attended Argo Faye High School and worked as a nurses aide at the Savanna Hospital
during World War II. She was married to Victor Murney from 1945 until his passing in 2007. She enjoyed all of the domestic arts and was known throughout her family as an excellent cook and baker. As a special way to preserve these memorable occasions, quarter-, half- or full-page announcements can be purchased. A daytime phone number and email address (if available) are requested to help to ensure accuracy.
