After the service, they enjoyed lunch at Maxson Manor in Oregon. They are the parents of Glen (Bridgit) Hart of Ashton, Glenda (Frank) Valle of Oglesby, and Galen (Debbie) Hart of Amboy.
They have nine grandchildren, Mia (Frank Munroe) Hart of Overland Park, Kansas; Ana (Jamie) Jozefowicz of Rochelle; Josef Hart of Amboy; Frank (Noreen) Valle of Chicago; Brett (Alisha) Valle of Oglesby; Jordan Valle (Mallory Paul) of Bettendorf, Iowa; Stephanie; Emily Hart of Chicago; and Adam Hart of Amboy. They also are blessed with three great-grandchildren, Frank, Raphael, and Trevor Valle.
Glen and Jeanette lived on the Hart Family farm for 57 years before moving to Dixon. They farmed in Lee and Ogle counties their entire lives. Glen still works with his sons on the family farms. He enjoys refinishing and riding antique tractors. Jeanette has helped with the farming operation by working in the fields, running errands, keeping books, and providing meals for them.
She loves to bake, cook, and garden. She has made numerous birthday cakes, wedding cakes, and cookies for her family and friends over the years. Linda and Glen Weatherwax of Sterling were married in the First Presbyterian Church on March 23, 1991. Linda and Glen are both retired teachers from Sterling Public Schools (35 years) and from the National Geographic Society (25 years) as teacher consultants, presenting their first workshop together on their honeymoon.
