LOOKING AHEAD
T
he St. Charles Area Chamber of Commerce has adopted a new three-year Strategic Plan (2026– 2028) designed to strengthen our organization and deliver even greater value to our members and the broader business community. At its core, the plan focuses on building a strong internal foundation while expanding engagement, programming, and partnerships that directly support business growth.
Key priorities include investing in organizational capacity, such as upgraded technology systems and professional development for staff and volunteers, ensuring the Chamber operates efficiently and responsively. Members will see improved communication, better datadriven services, and more consistent follow-through across programs and events. The plan also places strong emphasis on member engagement and retention, with goals to better understand member needs, create clearer engagement pathways, and grow and sustain overall membership by 15% by the end of 2028. Enhanced digital tools, events, and outreach will help members more easily connect, participate, and see a return on their investment.
To support meaningful involvement, the Chamber will strengthen committee effectiveness, aligning committee goals with Chamberwide priorities, providing clearer leadership support, and recognizing volunteer contributions more intentionally.
Signature events and programming will continue to evolve, with a focus on quality, impact, and financial sustainability. All major events will be evaluated for value and return on investment, ensuring they support advocacy, connection, and education while remaining financially sound. The plan also reinforces the Chamber’s role as a key partner with the City of St. Charles and the wider community, strengthening collaboration on economic development, workforce initiatives, and joint marketing efforts that benefit local businesses. “Our goal is for every member to clearly see the value of their Chamber investment,” said Executive Director Becky Greenlee. “That means listening more intentionally, creating meaningful ways to engage, and delivering programs that directly support business success.” Finally, the Strategic Plan outlines a path

Progress on the Strategic Plan will be reviewed annually and shared with members to ensure transparency and accountability. Together, these efforts position the Chamber to better serve our members, support the local workforce, and contribute to a thriving St. Charles business community over the next three years.
