Barricades were placed in the parking lot at Prophetstown State Park last week as runoff from rains and the warmer temperatures caused ice jams and fluctuating water levels. Because of rapid flooding concerns from the ice jams, the National Weather Service issued a flood warning for the Rock River last week, but it has since expired.
