ruise Nights returns Tuesdays June 3 through Aug. 19. The weekly event draws around 300 cars and more than 2,000 visitors each week, said Tasha Marsaglia, Executive Director of the Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce. “We really try to bring the fun to the evening,” Marsaglia said. Visitors stroll and view vehicles from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and each week features a different theme of vehicles. The event is open to all vehicles and there’s no fee to park and participate. Marsaglia said some car owners come out each week to share their prized vehicle and chat with spectators. “This is my 12th year of this event and it’s great to see some of the same car owners come out every week, to the same spot where they catch up with friends,” Marsaglia said. The Chamber is excited for the return of several sponsors including Darcy Motors, Webb Chevrolet of Plainfield, Rod Baker Ford and new sponsor Clean Image Car Wash & Detailing. The “Hawg Pen” where motorcycles can park is sponsored by Greater Midwest Exteriors and WashU CarWash. CONTINUED ON PAGE 4
