“Ransom Canyon” – Season 2
Passion runs deep in this small Texas town as three ranching family dynasties fight for their land, their legacies and the people they love. Season 2 of “Ransom Canyon” premieres Thursday, July 23, on Netflix, with Josh Duhamel (“Safe Haven,” 2013) returning as Staten Kirkland and Minka Kelly (“Just Go with It,” 2011) as Quinn O’Grady. Season 2 picks up six months after last season’s cliffhanger, with Staten fighting to reclaim his legacy after being unseated as trustee of his family’s Double K Ranch — a betrayal that runs closer to home than he’d like, since his own father (Brett Cullen, “Person of Interest”) teams up with Davis Collins (Eoin Macken, “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter,” 2016) to oust him. Meanwhile, Quinn returns home after pursuing her dreams in New York City, only to discover that time and distance have complicated her relationship with Staten more than either expected. Created by April Blair (“You”), who serves as showrunner and executive producer, this season also stars Lizzy Greene (“Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn”), Garrett Wareing (“Manifest”), Jack Schumacher (“Chicago P.D.”) and Marianly Tejada (“Orange Is the New Black”).
“72 Hours” (2026)
One accidental text message sends a desperate executive on the most chaotic weekend of his life in “72 Hours,” premiering Friday, July 24, on Netflix. Kevin Hart (“The Secret Life of Pets,” 2016) stars as a 40-year-old executive who is mistakenly added to a group chat planning an epic bachelor party. Hoping to save his flailing career, he joins the group of 20-somethings on a wild, three-day bachelor party. As the weekend grows wilder by the hour, he’ll have to decide whether he’s chasing a fresh start
or simply running from the life he’s built. “Cape Fear” – Season 1
Inspired by Martin Scorsese’s (“Taxi Driver,” 1976) 1991 thriller, a new episode of “Cape Fear” premieres Friday, July 24, on Apple TV. A storm is coming for happily married attorneys Anna and Tom Bowden — played by Academy Award nominee Amy Adams (“Enchanted,” 2007) and Golden Globe and Emmy nominee Patrick Wilson (“Insidious,” 2010) — when Max Cady (Javier Bardem,
“Skyfall,” 2012), the notorious killer they helped put behind bars, is released from prison and begins playing twisted mind games with the couple as a means of revenge. Adams, Wilson and Bardem are joined by Lily Collias (“Good One,” 2024), Samantha Clifford (“The Space Between,” 2024) and Amanda Dunn (“Cruel Summer,” 2025). Nick Antosca (“The Act”) is showrunner, with Scorsese and Steven Spielberg (“Jurassic World: Rebirth,” 2025) serving as executive producers.

“The Blackening” (2022)
A mysterious board game and a masked killer turn a Juneteenth getaway into a fight for survival in “The Blackening,” available now on Prime Video. Based on the 2018 short film by comedy troupe 3Peat, director Tim Story’s (“Ride Along,” 2014) 2023 slasher follows a group of friends who reunite for their annual Juneteenth weekend getaway at a remote cabin in the woods. However, their trip comes to a halt when they stumble onto an old board game tucked away in the basement, and a masked killer locks the house down with one twisted rule: play the game … or die. As the friends are picked off one by one, paranoia creeps in and they’re forced to lean on every horror movie cliche they know to outsmart a captor whose grudge runs deeper than any of them could’ve guessed. The film stars Grace Byers (“Empire,” “Harlem”), Jermaine Fowler (“Sorry to Bother You,” 2018), Melvin Gregg (“The Way Back,” 2020), X Mayo (“Wonder Man”), Dewayne Perkins (“One of Them Days,” 2025) and Antoinette Robertson (“Dear White People”).

“Saturday Night” (2024)
Ninety minutes to airtime and nothing is ready. Welcome to the night television changed forever. Premiering Saturday, July 25, on Hulu, director Jason Reitman’s (“Juno,” 2007) “Saturday Night” follows the chaotic night of the premiere of NBC’s “Saturday Night,” later known as the hit comedy series “Saturday Night Live.” It’s Oct. 11, 1975, and producer Lorne Michaels (Gabriel LaBelle, “Dead Shack,” 2017) is racing the clock inside NBC Studios to get the first-ever episode of “Saturday Night” on air. Cast members clash with writers, Jim Henson (Nicholas Braun, “Succession”) frets over his Muppets and George Carlin (Matthew Rhys, “The Americans”) questions the whole premise of the show. Just as Lorne loses hope, the cast finally takes the stage — live, unscripted and ready to make television history. “Saturday Night” also stars Rachel Sennott (“I Love LA”), Cory Michael Smith (“Transatlantic”) and Ella Hunt (“Dickinson”).

Have your dancing shoes at the ready because “Dancing with the Stars” is expanding its hit franchise with a new competition series, “Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro.” A new episode streams on Disney+ Tuesday, July 21. Hosted by wildlife conservationist and “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34 winner Robert Irwin, “The Next Pro” features 12 exceptional up-and-coming dancers — such as Adele Zaikman, AJ Pritchard (“Hollyoaks”), Allen Genkin, Benjamin Castro (“To the Pointe with Kristyn Burtt”), Briar Nolet (“The Next Step”), Erik Linder, Jake Monreal (“Dancing with the Stars: Juniors”), Natalie Jolley, Nina Mayster, Selena Hamilton, Stephani Sosa (“Dancing With the Stars”) and Tristen Sanders — who move into a house and compete in a grueling audition process, all vying for a coveted spot as a pro dancer on Season 35 of “Dancing with the Stars.” Judging their every move are three-time “Dancing With the Stars” Mirrorball champion Mark Ballas and his mother, Shirley Ballas — also a judge for BBC’s “Strictly Come Dancing.” They are joined by a rotating cast of returning pros serving as mentors and guest judges along the way. “The Next Pro” hails from executive producers Derek Hough (“Dancing With the Stars”) and Ryan O’Dowd (“Celebrity Weakest Link”).
