After 16 years apart, J.D. (Zach Braff, “Garden State,” 2004), Turk (Donald Faison, “Clueless,” 1995) and Elliot (Sarah Chalke, “Firefly Lane”) return to Sacred Heart Hospital for an all-new iteration of Bill Lawrence’s (“Clone High”) early-aughts medical sitcom “Scrubs,” premiering Wednesday, Feb. 25, on ABC. New episodes air weekly and release each following day on Hulu. Joel Kim Booster (“KPop Demon Hunters,” 2025) and Vanessa Bayer (“Saturday Night Live”) join the cast.

J.D., Turk and the gang don ‘Scrubs’ once more
By Dana Simpson TV Media
Paging all “Scrubs” fans! Nearly 16 full years after exiting the automatic doors of Sacred Heart Hospital, J.D. (Zach Braff, “Garden State,” 2004), Turk (Donald Faison, “Clueless,” 1995) and Elliot (Sarah Chalke, “Firefly Lane”) are scrubbing back in for a 10th season of mischief and medicine at the California hospital.
Don’t miss the all-new iteration of Bill Lawrence’s (“Clone High”) early-aughts medical sitcom “Scrubs,” premiering Wednesday, Feb. 25, on ABC. New episodes air weekly and release each following day on Hulu.
The winner of two Primetime Emmys during its original run from 2001 to 2010, “Scrubs” is a half-hour comedy following the personal and professional lives of three frontline workers — and their co-workers — at a fictional California hospital. Replete with witty sarcasm, absurdist humor and close-knit friendships in the workplace, “Scrubs” was praised for its ability to confront serious issues through surrealism and goofy comedy, all without belittling the characters’ problems or losing sight of the plot.
“Scrubs” was also touted for its relatability. Unlike many television series that up the stakes for increased drama, in its early days, “Scrubs” always managed to feel grounded despite its wacky sense of humor. On their way to becoming doctors, medical interns J.D., Elliot and Turk found comfort in their romances and bromances, even during their most difficult days and when faced with the very real physical and emotional hazards of a job in medicine.
While the Sacred Heart trio is no longer comprised of interns, J.D., Turk and Elliot are all confirmed as returning for the series reboot — this time as full-fledged doctors (per the later seasons of “Scrubs’” original run). Turk’s love interest and Elliot’s best friend, nurse Carla, played by Judy Reyes (“High Potential”), is also returning, albeit in a recurring guest capacity.
“J.D. and Turk scrub in together for the first time in a long time: medicine has changed; interns have changed; but their bromance has stood the test of time,” reads the official logline for the new episodes, as provided by series producers. “Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart and some surprises along the way.”
“A lot of the story still holds up,” Faison told People during an interview for the magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive 2025 issue. “You’re still following your favorite doctors — your heroes, to some people. Regardless of what’s happened from Season 1 through 9, the core story is still there and people really want to see that.”
In the same interview, Braff noted that al-

though the show’s heart — and some of the original writing team — remain the same, the decision to bring in a “young, very diverse group of writers” for the reboot means the “Scrubs” reboot has the opportunity to launch itself full throttle into a whole new generation of fandom.
According to entertainment site TomsGuide. com, the “Scrubs” “reboot is being described as a ‘continuation’ rather than a total reset, picking up years after the original’s finale and revisiting Sacred Heart with some familiar faces as well as plenty of new interns.”
Other familiar faces returning for the show’s long-overdue 10th season include Christa Miller, who has recently been seeing success in the acclaimed Apple TV series “Shrinking,” as Jordan Sullivan and John C. McGinley (“Stan Against Evil”) as the somewhat mean-spirited Dr. Perry Cox, who served as J.D.’s mentor in the initial seasons. Neil Flynn (“The Middle”) is also returning as the Janitor.
Joining the cast for Season 10, however, are a slew of new Sacred Heart interns, including Serena (Ava Bunn, “A Man on the Inside”), Asher (Ja-
cob Dudman, “Fate: The Winx Saga”), Blake (David Gridley, “All American”), Amara (Layla Mohammadi, “The Persian Version,” 2023) and Dashana (Amanda Morrow, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”). Additionally, a couple familiar faces from outside the original “Scrubs” seasons have joined the cast.
American actress and comedian Vanessa Bayer joins the series as Sacred Heart Wellness Program co-ordinator Sibby Wilson. Best known for her work on “Saturday Night Live” between 2010 and 2021, some of Bayer’s other credits include “Trainwreck” (2015), “I Love That for You,” “Ibiza” (2018) and another recent early-aughts reboot: “Freakier Friday” (2025).
Joel Kim Booster of “KPop Demon Hunters” (2025) fame also joins the cast of the new “Scrubs.” Reportedly portraying a fellow medical professional named Dr. Park, viewers may recognize Kim Booster as Noah from Andrew Ahn’s 2022 film “Fire Island,” which is a modern-day retelling of Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice” featuring five gay men on an island in place of the five Bennet sisters in Hertfordshire, England.
Audiences more familiar with television rather than film may instead recognize the actor from 30 episodes of the Apple TV series “Loot,” in which he played Nicholas, Molly Novak’s (Maya Rudolph, “Bridesmaids,” 2011) sarcastic personal assistant who leaves in Season 3 to follow his acting dream.
“Scrubs” creator Lawrence returns as the revival’s producer, while Aseem Batra (“The Cleveland Show”) and Tim Hobert (“The Middle”), both of whom wrote for the show’s original run, will serve as co-showrunners.
Whether you are new to the series or a longtime fan of the zany staff at Sacred Heart, tune in for “Scrubs,” premiering its 10th season Wednesday, Feb. 25, on ABC. New episodes air weekly and release each following day on Hulu.

An odd couple of agents lead new drama ‘CIA’
By Sarah Passingham TV Media
From the king of procedurals, Dick Wolf (“Law & Order”), comes a new installment in his world of drama. “CIA,” the latest spinoff series from the hit FBI franchise, premieres Monday, Feb. 23, on CBS. The actionpacked new drama follows an odd couple of agents out of the New York City CIA office as they protect against threats to the country while they learn to work as a team.
The series stars Tom Ellis (“Lucifer”) as suave British CIA Case Officer Colin Glass, whose new partner assignment may or may not have been chosen to rein in his rogue tendencies. By-thebook FBI Special Agent Bill Goodman (Nick Gehlfuss, “Chicago Med”) operates a bit differently than his loose-cannon CIA counterpart, really living up to his surname. The pair butt heads almost immediately when it comes to how far one can stretch the truth in order to get what they need.
“He read me the riot act for fibbing to a suspect in a safe house,” Colin vents about Bill in the series’ trailer. Whether it’s called fibbing or lying, it is effective in reaching the end goal of keeping their country safe — something they can both agree on.
Colin tells Bill in the trailer, “You guys work in the open. We work in the shadows,” trying to solidify the different approaches given their different home agencies — the CIA for Colin and FBI for Bill. The two agents operate in seemingly separate spheres, however, when missions get complicated or dangerous, their individual skills combine to become an asset to the organization that neither could be on their own.
The series has experienced some changes as the show’s production has undergone a shake-up both behind the scenes and in front of the camera, but CBS recently announced that Necar Zadegan (“Mayor of Kingstown”) was added to the cast as series regular. Zadegan joins as a recast of the chief of station role that was previously announced to be portrayed by Michael Michele, whom you may have last seen in the Wolf-produced action drama “The Equalizer” on CBS.
“CIA” kicks off its series premiere episode by bringing together our two odd couple agents who are called in to investigate when a top-secret weapon is stolen in broad daylight from a U.S. defense contractor. Bridging the spinoff and its originating series with a guest starring spot in the premiere is Jeremy Sisto, appearing as his “FBI” character, Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jubal Valentine.
The series premiere was written by Mike Weiss (“The Hunting Wives”) and directed by Ken Girotti (“Vikings”). “CIA” is executive produced by Wolf, Peter Jankowski (“FBI”) and Anastasia Puglisi (“Law & Order”). CBS cleared its slate of the existing “FBI” spinoffs, with “FBI: International”

and “FBI: Most Wanted” airing their series finales last May, to make room for the new series set in a new bureau.
The trailer’s focus on Colin and Bill’s back-andforth is perhaps a signal that this procedural is a bit more about the characters than its counterparts, something Ellis seemed to confirm in an interview with Collider last August before the show began filming.
“The central relationship between my character and the FBI character is going to be very much a driving force for the show,” Ellis said. “Even though we’re going to be a case of the week-type procedural, we’re going to spend a bit more time with our main characters than they traditionally do on a lot of these Wolf shows.”
“CIA” debuts amidst a range of midseason premieres on CBS. Plus, the network has scheduled a celebration for one tentpole show reaching a milestone this year: “Survivor” premieres its 50th season just two days after “CIA” on Wednesday, Feb. 25, following two weeks of specially curated prime-time encore airings of 10 memorable episodes from the genre-defining reality competition show’s historic run.
The cast of the upcoming 50th season is made up entirely of players from seasons past — 24 contestants, including one from its very first season. The tagline of the new season is “in the hands of the fans” and as a reward for such loyal viewership, certain elements of the gameplay and production have been decided by public votes. Thank the voters when we all get to watch the finale vote read live from Los Angeles again.
If Wolf reigns over the CBS broadcast procedural drama landscape, then Taylor Sheridan (“Landman”) lords over the network’s streamer, Paramount+. The “Yellowstone” creator breaks new ground with his first scripted series to premiere on the network with the Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes, “Eddington,” 2025) centric spinoff “Marshals” on Sunday, March 1. The Montanaset drama follows Kayce, a former Navy SEAL, as he leaves Yellowstone Ranch behind to fight for justice with a unit of marshals.

Culinary card games bring chaos during a new episode of “Wildcard Kitchen,” airing Tuesday, Feb. 24, on Food Network.
“In each episode,” Food Network says, “host Eric Adjepong [“Alex vs. America”] takes over the test kitchen after hours with an exclusive invitation for three chefs to bring $5,000 to play across three hands of his underground culinary poker game.
“The competitors, who all know each other well, have scores to settle and personal stakes to lose as they battle to create dishes based on the cards they are dealt and bet using their own instincts and cold, hard cash. The luck
of the draw determines the dishes and cooking time, while wild cards deal unpredictable challenges into the mix that test the chefs like never before. From surf-andturf with peanut butter to live crab with kimchi, anything can happen in ‘Wildcard Kitchen’ as mystery guest judges use blind taste tests to determine who walks away the high roller with bragging rights and cash from their fellow chefs.”
This time around, Adjepong plays against some of the biggest names in the culinary world, including Alex Guarnaschelli (“Ciao House”), who appeared in the premiere episode of this third season alongside two chefs who once bested Guarnaschelli on “Alex vs: America”: Kevin Lee and Ar-

nold Myint (“Top Chef”). This premiere episode also introduced a new game element — the “Diamond Deck” — which is described as being a diabolical collection of cards that add extreme twists and turns to the game.

“Paradise” - Season 2
After viewers learned the truth behind President Bradford’s (James Marsden, “Enchanted,” 2007) murder last season, the fallout is just beginning as “Paradise” returns Monday, Feb. 23, to Hulu for Season 2 , debuting with a three-episode premiere. Trent (Ian Merrigan, “The Chi”), a former bunker project manager, was exposed as last season’s killer after infiltrating Paradise under a false identity, leaving the city shaken and its leadership exposed. In Season 2, Xavier (Sterling K. Brown, “This Is Us”) ventures beyond the bunker to find his wife, Teri (Enuka Okuma, “Impulse”), who’s missing after the Atlanta missile strike. As Xavier learns how people survived the three years since “The Day,” life inside Paradise grows increasingly unstable. Social order weakens, trust erodes and unsettling truths emerge about how the bunker was built, who controls it and what its residents were never meant to know. Nicole Brydon Bloom (“The Gilded Age”), Sarah Shahi (“Life”), Charlie Evans (“Everything’s Gonna Be Okay”), Julianne Nicholson (“Blonde,” 2022) and Aliyah Mastin (“Honey Girls,” 2021) return for Season 2, with series creator Dan Fogelman (“Tangled,” 2010) returning as writer-executive producer.

Featuring interviews with McCartney, his daughters Mary (“Mary McCartney Serves It Up”) and Stella McCartney (“Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie,” 2016), John Lennon’s son Sean Ono Lennon (“Poker Face”) and friends and collaborators such as Mick Jagger (“Slow Horses”), Chrissie Hynde (“Happy Feet,” 2006) and all living members of Wings, the documentary captures the emotional and creative evolution of a man redefining his life and music after the Beatles. Q: Disney put together a short video for their 100th anniversary, and it seems like they got all the original voices back. Did they record the lines fresh or were they just taken from what was already recorded for the movies?
A: In all but a few sadly sweet cases, the voices in the 2023 Disney short “Once Upon a Studio” are all new recordings, with several very big stars coming together to honor the legendary animation studio.
More than 40 original voice actors reprised their classic Disney roles for the nine-minute short, including recent favorites such as Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel (both of “Frozen,” 2013), as well as classic performers like Jodi Benson (“The Little Mermaid,” 1989) and Paige O’Hara (“Beauty and the Beast,” 1991).
However, some characters were included despite their original actors having died. Most notably — and perhaps puzzlingly for sharp-eared fans — the Genie from “Aladdin” (1992) was included, and it was indeed the voice of the late Robin Williams (“Mrs. Doubtfire,” 1993) playing him. The studio says they used “previously unheard audio” to bring him back to life (with the permission of his estate).
They also used archival audio of Cliff Edwards (“The Magical World of Disney”), the original voice of Jiminy Cricket. In a few other cases, though, they sought out actors who sounded as close as possible to the original stars.
Co-directors Trent Correy (“Big Hero 6,” 2014)
and Dan Abraham (“Zootopia 2,” 2025) admitted to being particularly excited about the prospect of working with a certain group of stars. “Dan and I were such fan boys of all of the classic Disney animated characters, and we were especially geeking out to be working with some of our favorite princess voices,” Correy said in an official release.
Getting them all together would have been too big of an ask, though. Instead, the actors all recorded separately, some in a sound booth and some remotely via the Zoom digital platform.
Q: What’s Dan Levy’s next project going to be? I’m sad it won’t be more “Schitt’s Creek.”
A: It’s not a return to his beloved, surprise-hit sitcom “Schitt’s Creek,” which ended back in 2020, but Dan Levy’s (“Good Grief,” 2023) next

project is the next best thing: a new sitcom.
As much as he did on the Emmy-winning “Schitt’s Creek,” Levy is creating, producing and starring in “Big Mistakes,” a series about “two deeply incapable siblings who are blackmailed into the world of organized crime.”
It will be released on Netflix sometime later this year (the streamer has so far been scanty with details).
The promise of Levy again placing himself in a fraught sibling dynamic — this time with co-star Taylor Ortega (“Another Simple Favor,” 2025) — is certainly tantalizing for fans of his previous series, in which he played one of a family of suddenly hard-up ex-aristocrats.
That’s not to say he hasn’t been busy in the interim. But he’s mostly been sticking to feature films, plus the odd guest-acting role, including spots in a couple of other critically beloved series, “Sex Education” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
And while working on “Big Mistakes,” he also found time to shoot roles in two more features: the light comedy “Animal Friends” and the heavy drama “At the Sea,” both of which are due for release later this year.
Q: I was sad to hear “The Recruit” was canceled. What’s Noah Centineo doing now?
A: Surely Noah Centineo (“To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before,” 2018) was as disappointed as you when his spy-themed action series, “The Recruit,” was cancelled last year after two seasons on Netflix.
But we may come to look back at that moment as a necessary step in his transformation into a new-era action hero.
He essentially walked right off the “Recruit” set onto an even bigger one: he recently wrapped filming on a new, feature-length adaptation of classic fighting game Street Fighter. He’ll be playing Ken Masters, one of the lead characters in a star-studded cast that also features Jason Momoa (“Aquaman,” 2018) and pro wrestler Cody Rhodes (“The Naked Gun,” 2025).
While that goes through its final polish ahead of an October release, Centineo’s already shooting his next project — and it’s potentially even bigger. He’s playing the titular beloved hero in “John Rambo,” a prequel to the Rambo movie franchise that helped make Sylvester Stallone (“First Blood,” 1982) into a megastar back in the ‘80s. Unfortunately, there’s no release date for that one yet.
Just as filming got underway on that, news broke that Centineo is (reportedly) going to star in “Gundam,” a Netflix film based on the hugely popular Japanese multimedia franchise.
Altogether, these add up to a huge move on Centineo’s part to become something like a modern-day Stallone — a muscled-but-relatable fixture in big action spectacles.
