t times when violence and dehumanization are rampant, some in positions of power may feel it easiest to follow orders, while others may choose to focus their attention inward. Others still will get up every morning, step out the door and use their lived experience to fight for others — regardless of how they may be perceived by the aggressor.
Lt. Joe Leaphorn, the leading character in AMC’s 1970s-set series “Dark Winds,” is among the latter category. Portrayed by “Longmire” and “Reservation Dogs” actor Zahn McClarnon, Leaphorn has spent the series’ first three seasons facing and fighting everything from murderers and robberies to crimes of hate against the Indigenous people in his Navajo County community.
Now, as Season 4 begins, Leaphorn must leave the comfort of Kayenta, Arizona, and venture more than 600 miles southwest to Los Angeles in the hopes of bringing home a Navajo teenager who disappeared from her boarding school without a trace.
“Dark Winds” Season 4 premieres Sunday, Feb. 15, on AMC and its streaming platform, AMC+.
Just weeks ahead of the show’s Season 3 premiere in March 2025, AMC announced that “Dark Winds” would also return for round four. The decision to renew so early came with little surprise to many, given that the series boasts a whopping 100% score on the RottenTomatoes.com Tomatometer (critic ratings) and an impressive 76% approval rating on the Popcornmeter (audience score). Even with all the critic and audience attention, however, McClarnon is likely to have been among the most excited for the show’s renewal.
“I’m looking forward to exploring and inhabiting the character of Joe Leaphorn once again in Season 4,” McClarnon said, as reported by Collider, adding, “I’m excited to make my directorial debut on a show that means so much to me.”
Already credited as a series star and executive producer, McClarnon adds another feather in his cap this year as he makes his directorial debut in “Dark Winds” Season 4 Episode 2, reportedly titled “Bikee’ Doo Eedahooziideegoo (Toward Their Unknown Paths).” Although no specifics have been shared regarding the episode itself (no doubt to avoid spoilers), fans of the series created by Graham Roland (“Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan”) can be sure that the action will already be in full swing by the episode’s Feb. 22 air date.
And while much of the “Dark Winds” dis-

cussion has rightfully centered upon McClarnon in preparation for the eight new episodes awaiting release, his won’t be the only familiar face in Season 4.
Firstly, “Blood Quantum” (2019) and “Twilight Saga” star Kiowa Gordon returns as Jim Chee. (After all, what is Leaphorn without his Chee?) First introduced to viewers as a young FBI agent working undercover in Kayenta, Chee has become an integral part of the Navajo Tribal Police force. In the official Season 4 trailer released by AMC, Chee is seen welcoming fellow NTP officer Bernadette Manuelito (Jessica Matten, “Frontier”) back to the force and sparks are flying. Even sharing just a few seconds of screen time in the promotional material, it is clear that much of Season 4 will be spent exploring Manuelito and Chee’s feelings for one another.
Leaphorn’s wife, Emma (Deanna Allison, “Edge of America,” 2003), was also featured in the trailer despite the couple’s split at the end of Season 3. As for whether Emma will re-
turn in a regular, recurring or cameo capacity, however, remains a mystery.
“I won’t say whether or not it’s a permanent break or not, but it is definitely something that has sent [Leaphorn] to the mountains to reflect and consider his life and his choices and what’s happened to him,” said showrunner John Wirth (“Nash Bridges”) in a December interview with TV Insider. “At the beginning of Season 4, Leaphorn is trying to regain his balance and tap into some of the more traditional Navajo ways that he may have lost track of over time.”
But, a fresh season reflecting on fresh wounds calls for some fresh blood as well.
Joining the prominent roster of new cast members in Season 4 is Franka Potente (“The Bourne Identity,” 2002) as Irene Vaggan, who is described by Wirth as a “villain” with a “really complex backstory” rooted in World War II-era Germany and fostering a strong family history tied to the Nazi Party. Obsessed by stories of “cowboys and Indians in the West”
when she was growing up, Vaggan is positioned as a major obstacle on the route to solving this season’s big case in LA — and she has a special penchant for Leaphorn.
Also joining the cast are Isabel DeRoy-Olson (“Three Pines”) as Navajo teen Billie Tsosie; Chaske Spencer (“Blindspot”) as crime-ring recruiter Sonny; Luke Barnett (“Tonic,” 2025) as FBI special agent Toby Shaw; and “Bosch’s” Titus Welliver as LA crime boss Dominic McNair.
“Dark Winds” blow again in the Southwestern United States. Don’t miss the Season 4 premiere when it airs Sunday, Feb. 15, on AMC and AMC+.

‘The Night Agent’ returns with a worldwide manhunt
By Sarah Passingham TV Media
When the world needs saving, one man gets the call to come to the rescue. Gabriel Basso (“A House of Dynamite,” 2025) returns as FBI agent Peter Sutherland in the third-season premiere of “The Night Agent,” streaming Thursday, Feb. 19, on Netflix. All 10 episodes of the new season will be available to stream on premiere day.
Now a full-fledged, active agent of Night Action, one of the FBI’s secret intelligence programs, Peter has swooped into complex situations that require both extreme caution and bravery, leaving his desk duty in the dust. Whether it’s tracking down bombs or MacGyvering a way out of a lethal gas leak, Peter has proven himself to be the top agent for any job, no matter how dangerous.
This season, Peter is sent out to chase down a treasury agent who has fled the country armed with sensitive information, seemingly having killed his boss while collecting the documents. The rogue agent has escaped to Istanbul and, from Netflix, “what begins as a high-stakes manhunt quickly spirals into something more dangerous as Peter uncovers a dark money network, evades paid assassins and crosses paths with a relentless journalist whose pursuit of the truth puts them both squarely in the crosshairs.”
Joining the cast this season is David Lyons (“The Beast in Me”) as Adam, Peter’s new partner. While capable and affable, there is something that keeps Peter from fully trusting Adam. Also new this season is Stephen Moyer (“True Blood”) as The Father, a shadowy contract killer with a tidy home life as a family man.
While not Peter’s official partner, a new character is integral to his mission. Genesis Rodriguez (“Lioness”) stars as journalist Isabel De Leon, a young reporter with the Financial Register who is determined to stick to her principles and expose the truth at any cost. Pulled into Peter’s new assignment to help him find out who is at the top of the criminal pyramid, it quickly becomes clear that Isabel’s life is in danger because of her involvement.
Returning as series regulars this season are Fola Evans-Akingbola (“Death in Paradise”) as agent Chelsea Arrington, freshly named head of security for the first family; Ward Horton (“One Life to Live”) as President Richard Hagan; and Albert Jones (“The Wire”) as Aiden Mosley, deputy director of the FBI.
Last season saw Peter’s father’s past collide with his own, as his handler, Catherine Weaver (Amanda Warren, “Dickinson”), revealed that one of her first missions with Night Action was keeping tabs on his father as he shared intel with Russian intelligence before his assassination. Catherine offers Peter a chance to do what his

father wasn’t able to — become a double agent and right his wrongs.
Not even secret agents like Peter are without weakness, and one powerful villain managed to find and exploit his last season. Dubbed “The Broker” by the FBI, Jacob Monroe (Louis Herthum, “Home Before Dark”), an illegal intelligence dealer, used Peter last season as part of his scheme to place his candidate in the highest office in the country. Now that Jacob is so close to the sitting president, Night Action must intervene lest crucial information meant for the president’s eyes make its way into the hands of adversaries.
Last season’s finale had Peter accept this new mission handed to him by Catherine, who told him to wait for Jacob’s call, “gain his trust, uncover every snake on his payroll and then expose, destroy.” Peter quickly jumped on board but questioned just how far up this illegal intelligence network reached, something that the upcoming season seemingly ties up.
Series creator Shawn Ryan (“Timeless”) told Tudum that this season, “Peter grapples with a dangerous conspiracy at the heart of the White House, a dogged reporter with a hot tip and a murky past, a murder suspect trying to clear his name, a mysterious father and son who leave a trail of bodies in their wake and a new partner who could be his salvation — or his doom.”
Also starring in the show this season are Jennifer Morrison (“House”) as first lady Jenny Hagan; Suraj Sharma (“How I Met Your Father”) as financial analyst Jay Batra; and Callum Vinson (“Poker Face”) as The Son.
In addition to filming on location in Istanbul, production of this season of “The Night Agent” took cast and crew to New York state (the show’s main filming location), Washington, D.C., Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Episode directors include Adam Arkin (“Justified”) and Guy Ferland (“Mayor of Kingstown”) — who have both directed episodes for all three seasons — and new recruits Paris Barclay (“Doctor Odyssey”), Billy Gierhart (“Rectify”) and Hiromi Kamata (“Selena: The Series”).
Don’t miss a thrilling new season of “The Night Agent,” premiering Thursday, Feb. 19, on Netflix.

Even the king of the kitchen gets nervous. With 20 million pounds on the line, any sane person would be. Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay tackles his biggest project yet in “Being Gordon Ramsay,” a multipart docuseries making its debut Wednesday, Feb. 18, on Netflix.
Ramsay is no stranger to reality television, as the host of countless fire-hot culinary series such as “Hell’s Kitchen,” “MasterChef,” “Next Level Chef” and “Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares.” However, it’s not often he welcomes cameras to follow the execution of his own culinary projects.
This latest endeavor follows Ramsay through the lead-up to his most challenging and
impressive restaurant venture to date: five unique, high-end culinary experiences, all housed in London’s secondtallest building, 22 Bishopsgate. Across six episodes — which covers a hectic ninemonth period of Ramsay’s life — “Being Gordon Ramsay” provides exclusive access to the prolific, profanity-loving chef both at work and at home, as Ramsay balances his work commitments against time spent with his wife, Tana, and their six children.
The showcased projects — some of which are now open to the public — include RGR High, an intimate, 12-person dining experience; London’s highest restaurant, Lucky Cat, which serves brunch, lunch and tea alongside Asian-inspired small plates; the Lucky Cat roof terrace, which has cocktails and entertainment;

the beloved Bread Street Kitchen & Bar; and the flagship location for Gordon Ramsay Academy.
In a trailer for the soon-tobe-released series, Ramsay’s anxiety is palpable as he tells cameras that the scale of his latest project “scares the sh*t” out of him. He says: “22 Bishopsgate is the most ambitious project I’ve ever opened in my entire life. Five businesses under one roof. If Bishopsgate was to fail, yeah, I’m f***ed.”

“56 Days” - Season 1
A love story takes a deadly turn in Prime Video’s allnew thriller series “56 Days,” based on author Catherine Ryan Howard’s best-selling novel of the same name. Premiering on the streamer Wednesday, Feb. 18, Avan Jogia (“Zombieland: Double Tap,” 2019) and Dove Cameron (“Descendants,” 2015) star as Oliver and Ciara, a young couple caught up in a whirlwind romance after meeting in a supermarket. But 56 days later, homicide investigators arrive at Oliver’s apartment to find an unidentified, decomposed body in the bathtub. Did he kill her? Did she kill him? Intercutting between an intense single day in the present investigation and the twisted trajectory of the young lovers’ affair in the past, “56 Days” delves into their turbulent love story, revealing grim secrets. As detectives chase the truth, every timeline adds another crack in the couple’s story, until love, obsession and fear collapse into a single, devastating answer. Adapted for television by Lisa Zwerling (“ER”) and Karyn Usher (“Prison Break”), Karla Souza (“How to Get Away with Murder”) Dorian Missick (“For Life”), Megan Peta Hill (“The Flash”), Patch Darragh (“Succession”), Alfredo Narciso (“The Summer I Turned Pretty”) and Jennifer Ferrin (“Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin”) round out in the cast.
“Watching You” - Season 1
“I know your secret.” A single message unravels Lina’s (Aisha Dee, “The Bold Type”) life in ways she never imagined in the Stan original series “Watching You,” with Season 1 arriving Friday, Feb. 20, on Hulu. After Lina’s affair with a charming co-worker (played by Josh Helman, “X-Men: Days of Future

Past,” 2014) is captured by hidden cameras, the footage quickly becomes a weapon against her, exposing everything she’s tried to keep private and forcing her to unmask the unseen eye stalking her life. With trust eroding among loved ones and ominous threats closing in, she must confront how far someone will go to control her — and whether the danger lies in the lens or much closer to home. Inspired by “The Last Guests” by J.P Pomare, “Watching You” hails from series creators Alexei Mizin (“I, Frankenstein,” 2014) and Ryan van Dijk (“Relationship Rehab,” 2011), with Chai Hansen (“Play Dirty,” 2025), Laura Gordon (“Saw V,” 2008) and Olivia Vasquez (“Thor: Love and Thunder,” 2022) rounding out the cast.
“Strip Law” - Season 1
An uptight lawyer’s luck changes when he pairs with a flashy magician to tackle Vegas’s most ridiculous court cases. Premiering Friday, Feb. 20, on Netflix, “Strip Law” follows Lincoln Gumb (Adam Scott, “Severance”), a lawyer whose overly strait-laced style can’t win him a single case in Las Vegas’s vibrant legal world. That is, until he’s

teamed with Sheila Flambe (Janelle James, “Abbott Elementary”), a theatrical local magician and unapologetic hedonist whose flair brings attention to even the silliest disputes. This first season follows the unlikely pair as they take on some of the city’s most absurd legal battles, turning mundane courtroom moments into unpredictable animated comedy. With a voice cast led by Scott and James and created by Cullen Crawford (“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”), “Strip Law” also voice stars Keith David (“The Princess and the Frog,” 2009), Stephen Root (“King of the Hill”), Aimee Garcia (“Dexter”), Shannon Gisela (“Dose,” 2022) and Sean Glasgow (“Honey Don’t!,” 2025), with Chris Prynoski (“Downtown”) serving as an executive producer.
“Dreaming Whilst Black” - Season 2 “Dreaming Whilst Black” returns to Paramount+ Friday, Feb. 20, as Season 2 sees Adjani Salmon’s (“Chivalry”) Kwabena finally gets his big break. Last season ended with Kwabena leaving his dead-end recruitment job and pursuing his dream of becoming a successful
filmmaker. In Season 2, he steps further into the TV industry, working to build credits and establishing himself as a filmmaker. Before he knows it, Kwabena lands a directing role on “Sin and Subterfuge,” a period drama led by powerhouse producer Bridgette Julienne (Christine Adams, “Tron: Legacy,” 2010), but what initially seems like the opportunity of a lifetime quickly exposes the compromises and challenges of a so-called “progressive” industry. Season 2 also stars Dani Moseley (“The Kitchen,” 2023), Demmy Ladipo (“Murder Is Easy”), Rachel Adedeji (“Champion”) and Babirye Bukilwa (“We Hunt Together”), with Sebastian Thiel (“Riches”) returning to direct the season.
“The Last Thing He Told Me” - Season 2 Apple TV turns the page on mystery and family drama when “The Last Thing He Told Me” returns Friday, Feb. 20, for Season 2. Season 1 followed Hannah (Jennifer Garner, “Valentine’s Day,” 2010) and her stepdaughter Bailey (Angourie Rice, “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” 2017) as they searched for answers about Owen’s (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, “Game of Thrones”) sudden disappearance, ending with a brief encounter five years later that proved he was still alive but unable to come home. Based on Laura Dave’s forthcoming sequel novel, “The First Time I Saw Him,” Season 2 finds Hannah and Bailey racing to figure out how to reunite their family before the past catches up to them. With lingering questions about Owen’s history and loyalties, the two confront new developments that could determine whether the life they once imagined is still possible. The eight-episode season adds Judy Greer (“13 Going on 30,” 2004) and Rita Wilson (“Now and Then,” 1995) to the cast. Garner and co-showrunners Josh Singer (“First Man,” 2018) and Aaron Zelman (“Law & Order”) produce this season.

Q: I finally watched the “Bambi” sequel, but I barely followed it because I was so distracted trying to figure out who does the voice of Bambi’s father. And of course, I missed the credits. Who does the voice?
A: After years of reportedly trying, Disney finally got Patrick Stewart (“X-Men,” 2000) for “Bambi II” (2006).
I say “reportedly” because stories of who didn’t get cast in a role are, by definition, hard to verify. But numerous sources say that Stewart was previously considered for multiple Disney voice roles before he finally accepted the part of Bambi’s father in “Bambi II.”
Those other roles include Cogsworth in “Beauty and the Beast” (1991), King Triton in “The Little Mermaid” (1989), Zeus in “Hercules” (1997) and more.
And, we’d be remiss to leave out the major role Stewart plays in the Star Trek universe as Capt. Jean-Luc Picard, in productions ranging from “Star Trek: The Next Generation” to the much more recent “Star Trek: Picard.”
The reports say that he was the one to turn them down, due to scheduling conflicts. That certainly checks out: Stewart, an icon of both stage and screen, has been incredibly busy for an incredibly long time — particularly in the ‘90s — when Disney was apparently chasing him so persistently.
It must have stung Disney a little that one of the many roles he took in that period was
the voice of Seti in “The Prince of Egypt” (1998), an animated film by rival studio DreamWorks.
But in the modern era, it would be hard to imagine a more prestigious animated gig than the father in “Bambi II.” The original “Bambi” (1942) is one of the films that built Disney as a studio and one of the yardsticks by which subsequent animated features have been measured.
That made “Bambi II” one of the most anticipated sequels of all time — including in the literal sense, since, having been released 64 years apart, they hold the record for the longest interval between two films in a series.
Q: Has Jack Black ever done any dramatic movies?
A: Like most actors, Jack Black (“School of Rock,” 2003) basically took what he could get when he was starting out, so there are a lot of parts in dramas on his early resume; it’s hard to believe, but he even popped up on super-sincere ‘90s shows “Touched by an Angel” and “Life Goes On.” But since his star-making turn in “High

Fidelity” (2000), his transition to comedy guy has been pretty much complete.
For example, all 11 projects he currently has in development are comedies — including highly anticipated sequels “Jumanji 3” (due out later this year) and “Minecraft 2” (slated for 2027).
But there’s one big, weird exception.
In 2018, in between his first two “Jumanji” movies, he popped up as the sheriff in “The Unexpected Race,” a straight-ahead fantasy film about a woman who falls in love with an elf. I must stress that, despite Black’s presence, none of this is played for laughs.
At least it doesn’t seem like it.
But that’s hard to say for sure about any of the films made by indie maverick Stephen Groo (“150 Miles,” 2009). Fans tend to say his films fall in the so-bad-they’re-good category, which leaves the audience to wonder if that’s what he’s going for or not.
But he’s amassed a lot of those fans — including Black. The story goes that Black was introduced to Groo’s work by his “Nacho Libre” (2006) director Jared Hess and became such an admirer that he talked his way into “The Unexpected Race.”
It’s all laid out in the 2018 documentary “The Insufferable Groo,” in which Black also has a role.
Q: Is Tom Hiddleston going to do a third season of “The Night Manager”? Will we have to wait as long?
A: There are indeed plans for a third season of
“The Night Manager,” and it shouldn’t take quite so long to come out.
Fans were forced to wait a full 10 years between the first (2016) and second (2026) seasons. In fact, it took most of that time to decide that there would, in fact, be a second season — it was originally intended as a miniseries, following the text of the source novel by John le Carre. But the first season was a big sensation — and that goes doubly for lead Tom Hiddleston (“The Avengers,” 2012), whose star has only risen since — so a second season became impossible to resist.
And now director Georgi Banks-Davies (“Kaos”) is saying that the plan is actually for a trilogy of seasons.
“There was a third season that was always in the offing,” she told Variety. “David [Farr, (“Hanna”) the show’s creator] is writing it now — he’s at the coalface and in the early stage. But yeah, when the second season came, the plan was to go to three.”
Hiddleston, the title character and also an executive producer, will certainly be a part of whatever that third season turns out to be. The struggle, again, might just be finding room in his busy schedule. He has multiple other things on the go — most notably, a role in the next “Avengers” movie, “Doomsday,” due out in December.
