This marked the start of Snyder’s inventive career of nearly thirty years culminating in a series of innovations that propelled the Maytag name to the forefront as an iconic brand among washing machine manufacturers. Dr. Tom Hoover has written a book entitled How We Made The Gyrafoam: The Story of Two Midwestern Farm Boys Who Changed Washday Mondays Forever, which is now available for pre-order at the Newton Daily News.
