Jasper County Shared Inspection Technician Jasper County is seeking qualified applicants to fill a full-time position of Shared Inspection Technician. This position will be shared between the County’s Community Development Dept. and the Environmental Health Dept. Selected candidate will perform a wide variety of routine paraprofessional, technical, administrative and specialized work involved in receiving and reviewing building, electrical, plumbing, septic, wells, nuisances, pools, tanning and tattoo parlors, and related permit applications to the community development and environmental health program according to standards and regulations. Selected individual will work indoors and outside, in hot, cold, dry and wet environments. Applicants will need to be able to: perform physical work, lift up to 50 lbs, climb, stand, sit bend, stoop, kneel, and crawl for extended periods. Starting rate of pay will be $20.66 per hour with scheduled increase and benefits.
Jasper County Testing for Deputy Sheriff Notice is hereby given: Jasper County Civil Service Commission will administer Deputy Sheriff exams on Aug. 19, 20, 21, 2020. Testing will begin promptly at 8:30 AM at the Jasper County Armory Annex Building, 1030 W 2nd St S, Newton, IA.
