eing in kindergarten means facing lots of new challenges. For Ainsley Yenger, that was especially the case, as she was facing a routine – but frightening – surgery.
“She’d been having issues with snoring and not breathing comfortably at night,” said Reanna Yenger, Ainsley’s mom. “The decision was made that she needed to have her tonsils and adenoids removed.”
Reanna described her daughter as putting on a brave face ... at least until it was time to go to the pre-op area. “She was scared and didn’t want to unwrap her arms from my neck,” Reanna said. “The nurse was so patient while we worked on convincing her to go. I won’t forget the nurse asking Ainsley if she could hold her hand as they walked back together.”
