POSITION PURPOSE: The purpose of this job is to be responsible for and assist with performing mechanical and plumbing maintenance of all equipment in the plant, working with contractors to maintain and upgrade the plant and improving the reliability of the plant. This position is also responsible for ensuring the plant is maintained in a safe and clean condition.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain and troubleshoot various pump configurations (Goulds, Viking, Grundfos, Teikoku).
•
Select and assemble tubing, piping and pipe fitting material. Inspect and maintain valves. Maintain relief devices.
•
Maintain fans and blowers.
•
Apply mechanical equipment maintenance fundamentals.
•
Perform equipment alignment. Witness and/or practice safe rigging and lifting utilizing correct procedures and methods; recognize and protect personnel from hazards.
•
Perform normal planned maintenance, utilize appropriate maintenance and identify the hazards involved.
•
Perform preventive maintenance tasks
•
Locate and be able to interpret Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) for the facility.
