Fall Family Festival Sunday, Oct 13, 1-4 PM on the Mt. Morris Village Square Kid-friendly events include a penny carnival, costume parade, and pumpkin carving contest. Special Feature will be Truck and Treat, Presented by the Evangelical Free Church of Mt. Morris Kids can explore police and fire vehicles, as well as road equipment, while enjoying plenty of Halloween candy.

Colleen Alvey (center) was inducted into Forreston High School’s Hall of Fame during a halftime ceremony at the varsity football game on Oct. 4. Alvey taught many subjects but her main focus was mathematics in both Leaf River and Forreston from 1973-2005.
