Conference prediction: Red Oak won its 15th straight H-10 title last year and was state team runner-up. Clarinda, Kuemper Catholic, Shenandoah and Creston were the other top teams. Creston was third behind Red Oak and Clarinda in the H-10 tournament. “Red Oak lost two of their top four players, but you know they’ll be good again,” Cooper said. “Clarinda and Shenandoah will be good. Right now we have no seniors in our varsity lineup, and we’re learning how to play in new positions, with a couple of letterwinners not coming out. There really isn’t a team out there that is so dominant that we can’t go out and compete with, as our new varsity kids gain experience.”
