NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids are being sought by the City of Garden Grove City Clerk on behalf of the City of Garden Grove City Council. Project Name: 100/102 Building Deconstruction and Property Rehabilitation 100/102 West Main St. Garden Grove, IA 50103 Project Scope: The scope of work includes, but is not limited to the total deconstruction of the building located at 100/102 W. Main St. in Garden Grove, IA. This work on the project will include the diversion of a minimum of 70% of the construction materials generated by the deconstruction of the building from going to any landfills. The contractor will ensure that construction-type materials generated by the deconstruction, whether diverted or sent to the landfill, must be inventoried and weighed so an accurate percentage of diverted materials versus total materials are able to be determined. Scale tickets for all materials hauled will be required to be submitted to the City for verification of total tonnage and diversion amounts. These will also be submitted to the State of Iowa as part of the terms of the grant under which the City is doing the deconstruction. Work on the project will contain foundation removal to a depth of a minimum of two feet, to be backfilled with filldirt; no rock or other debris is to be used as fill. Site will be provided sufficient fill to allow for settling. Contractor will agree to contact the City at 90 days after the completion of the Project to determine if additional fill-dirt is required, and agrees to provide any needed fill at the Project rate. Work will include the seeding and mulching of the site. A Project packet is available at the City of Garden Grove City Hall, 101 W. Main St., Garden Grove, IA 50103.
