About Do Good Week
SHARE Charlotte’s 10th annual Do Good Week (April 20–24), powered by Honeywell, is Charlotte’s local celebration of National Volunteer Week.
This week brings our community together to Do Good locally— volunteering time and talent in support of hundreds of local causes and organizations across the region.
After a record-breaking year in 2025 with 5,438+ volunteer applications, SHARE Charlotte is declaring 2026 the Year of the Volunteer—and inviting everyone to be part of the good.
Why Volunteering Matters
• It strengthens local nonprofits. One hour of volunteer time is valued at $34.79, providing critical support many organizations couldn’t otherwise afford.
• It benefits your well-being.
Regular volunteers report lower stress and improved mental health, with research linking volunteering to reduced rates of depression.
• It creates ripple effects of GOOD. Good is contagious! One act of kindness can inspire friends, family, and coworkers to get involved too.
How You Can Get Involved
The following pages highlight opportunities to make an impact this spring and summer - with nonprofits sharing their biggest needs right now.
And remember: you can always find hundreds more year-round opportunities at sharecharlotte.org.

Thank you, Honeywell, for powering our 2026 Do Good Week!
We’re thankful for how your Futureshapers serve our community.
In November, Honeywell team members came together to feed our unhoused neighbors - packing 600 lunch bags for Roof Above and 200 snack kits for Hearts for the Invisible Charlotte Coalition.
