SHANKLIN THEATRE Welcome As we enter the last four months of the year, I am hoping that in our mixed programme there will be something for everyone. There are big names from the music world. From the 80's come Imaginaton with flamboyant lead singer Leee John. Also here is the fantastic Jason Donovan. In addition you will see that a great show has been added at the end of August starring Joe McElderry. Comedy is represented by Andy Parsons, Rich Hall, Jimeoin, and the returning Paul Zerdin. Fantastic productions of Tosca, and Swan Lake will surely be very popular, as will the musical 9 to 5, and a George and Mildred comedy. To celebrate the release of his fifth studio album Saturday Night at the Movies, Joe McElderry is embarking on a nationwide tour featuring songs from his new album and many more. The new album is full of classic songs, brand new tracks to fall in love with, and includes some great iconic songs. Joe will be joined on stage by special guests, X Factor’s Sam Callahan and Any Dream Will Do runners up Keith Jack and Ben James-Ellis. Sunday 20th August – 7.30pm – Tickets £25.00

A brand new production for 2017 sees the professional cast of 10 sing and dance, accompanied by an excellent live band. They will entertain you with everything from the classic numbers from ‘Les Miserables’, ‘Half A Sixpence’ and ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’, to tunes from The Supremes and the Kinks, as well as colourful numbers from more recent shows ‘Mamma Mia’ to ‘Mowtown’. Plus the fantastic ensemble numbers like ‘I’m Getting Married in the Morning. 4

After last years’ sell out performance, Russian State Opera is back with a dramatic masterpiece where love and politics collide and murder takes place at the highest level. Featuring an impressive cast and accompanied by a large live orchestra with over 30 musicians. The duet of Tosca and Scarpia is the most powerful and breath taking scene. If you’ve never seen opera before, you will love this full orchestra experience with fantastic colourful costumes, exquisite singing and wonderful tunes, making this a must-see opera for everyone. Celebrating their 35th anniversary Imagination, one of the most unique, genre defining and flamboyant soul groups of the past three decades comes to Shanklin Theatre.
