PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH PRAYER GUIDE
The month of October is celebrated as Pastor Appreciation Month and the second Sunday of October, October 13, 2024, is Pastor Appreciation Day. This is a special time set aside to honor, Rev. Dr. Alan McBride and Rev. Chad Ozee as they minister to us and celebrate the impact they make on our lives. The Bible teaches that honoring and encouraging pastors in these and other ways is correct. The Apostle Paul teaches, “The elders who rule well are to be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching” (1 Timothy 5:17). In 1 Timothy 3, the charge is to “manage” the church. During Pastor Appreciation Month, there will be a basket in the narthex and in the lobby of the Family Life Center to place cards, letters of encouragement and gifts of appreciation. The children in preschool, after school care and Children’s Church have made large hearts and notes honoring our pastors.
