New poll finds strong opposition to Trump, enthusiasm for 2020 vote

The first major poll of LGBTQ voters in the 2020 presidential cycle has been released, and one thing is clear: While LGBTQ people are diverse in race, identity and opinion, they are unified in opposition

to the Trump-Pence administration. Here are some key takeaways from OUT magazine’s survey, taken in collaboration with YouGov:

EQUALUX – TASTE of GSBA, the largest LGBTQ Gala in the Pacific Northwest. A record of over $1.6 million was raised for the GSBA Scholarship Fund.

by Mike Andrew SGN Staff Writer A new poll from YouGov and OUT magazine found that LGBTQ voters favor Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren by a nearly 2-to-1 margin over her rivals in the race for

the Democratic presidential nomination. The online survey of 816 likely Democratic voters was conducted Nov. 11-18 and released Nov. 25. The poll is said to be the first systematic analysis of LGBTQ voters to be conducted for the 2020 campaign.

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (Nov. 26) – Utah Gov. Gary Herbert has announced that the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing will propose a new administrative rule preventing licensed mental health professionals in the state from subjecting LGBTQ youth to the life-

threatening practice of “conversion” therapy aimed at changing their sexual orientation. The new rule will be identical to the language of H.B. 399, legislation that was introduced in the state legislature by Rep. Craig Hall in February and secured wide-
