Special Thanks

A special thank you to President Jesse Grapes, Vice President of Mission Del Smith, Saint Gertrude Head of School Amy Pickral, and Benedictine College Preparatory Head of School Greg Lilly for their incredible support in making The Little Mermaid possible.

The students are also so grateful to all of the amazing parent volunteers including Marci Andrews, Catherine Brosnihan, Molly Charlesworth, Colleen and David Cook, Deya Fabian, Adam and Dana Gresko, Rebecca and Rob Kutz, Kerry Kirk, Sara Lasseter, Derek and Maria Wilson, for their time, creativity, and constant enthusiasm.

Thank you to the friends and families who have supported each student through late night pick ups, last minute prop runs, and endless encouragement.

Finally, to the faculty and staff of both Benedictine and Saint Gertrude, thank you for cheering on these students while helping them balance it all during show week.

Welcome to our production of The Little Mermaid!

This cast, crew, and production team have shown incredible dedication and resilience throughout this process. Between ice storms, tornado warnings, and waves of sickness, they have persevered with determination and heart to bring this story to life. We could not be more proud or more excited for you to see what they’ve accomplished.

The Little Mermaid is a story about following your dreams, staying true to yourself, and navigating new challenges. Ariel leaves the comfort of her home to explore the unknown, and along the way, she discovers that chasing your goals comes with both excitement and obstacles. That journey feels especially meaningful for our students, whether they are stepping into our community for the first time or preparing to take their next big leap as they head off to college.

It is our hope that this show inspires you to take risks, trust yourself, and dive into your own adventures, both onstage and off.

Thank you for being here and supporting these incredible students.

Enjoy the show!
