Benedictine College Preparatory is an independent, Catholic day school for young men grades 9-12. Founded in 1911 by the monks of Belmont Abbey in North Carolina, the aim of the boys’ school, at its founding and still today, is to form young men in body, mind, and soul - to nourish a love of truth, foster the life of virtue, and promote a healthy life. In 2020, Benedictine and its sister school, Saint Gertrude High School, unified under a single corporation, the Benedictine Schools of Richmond. The two schools are colocated on the 75-acre Benedictine Abbey campus in Richmond, Virginia but retain their single-sex educational models.
