CEO Report

The landscape on Haven Terrace will soon start looking different. Construction of our first new home since 2020 will begin this month. Our builder is Kenson Goff and his son Max. Kenson is the son of Lon Goff. For those of you who aren’t familiar with this name, Lon Goff built every one of our homes and duplexes from 2001 to 2020. We interviewed three different contractors, and it was very evident that Goff has a great reputation and an established procedure that are both professional in construction management and quality finished product. Let your friends know that we have several empty lots and we would love to speak with them about building their forever home.

As I write out this month’s newsletter article, we are anticipating the largest winter storm we’ve seen in more than a decade. I have several items I have been praying for. First of all, for each of you to remain inside, be safe, be warm. We have spent several days preparing our snow removal equipment and pre salting walks to our larger building. Secondly, that our staff remain safe during their efforts to keep our roadways clear for any emergency vehicles should they need access. Our process will be clearing all walkways to our commercial buildings first then we divide up and begin your drives and walks. Should the temps prevent a timely snow removal, we will not give up. We will return as quickly as possible to complete our task. Thirdly, I will also be praying that patience has been demonstrated throughout this storm and normal traffic will resume as quickly as possible.

Thank you to those who have decided to donate to our campaign. Many of you have responded to my request and I couldn’t be more grateful. Look for more details concerning our efforts to underwrite our capital investments with a formal campaign later this year. I would ask you to consider making Maranatha a beneficiary in your estate. There are many avenues of giving to Maranatha including: Qualified Charitable Distribution, Charitable Remainder trust, Charitable gift annuity, Charitable Bequest and Donor-Advised fund. Each of these has different benefits. Please speak with your personal advisor to determine which would be best for you. I am praying that God place giving to Maranatha on your heart today.
