POLLINATOR SAFARI Sat | Oct 12 | 11am-12pm Sewickley Public Library is teaming up with the Allegheny Land Trust for a special program for the whole family all about pollinators! We’ll be meeting at the Audubon Greenway where the staff at Allegheny Land Trust will teach us all about how to respect nature and leave no trace. Then it’s time for the Pollinator Safari with our new Pollinator Nature Explorer Backpack! Registration is required. Pop into the Children’s Department to obtain the free access code. Cost is $2 per person without the code. Please, no more than 2 children per adult.

Investigating the Paranormal
From October 14th – November 16th, the library’s display cases will feature work by painter, Ben Gibson.
Join us on Tuesday, October 22 at 7:00pm in welcoming back internationally known Psychic Vincent Sisters, Suzanne Vincent and Jean Vincent, who are Psychic Mediums, Psychic Investigators, Paranormal Researchers, and Ghost Hunters.
Mr. Gibson graduated from Kendall School of Design as a Fine Arts Illustration major and earned a B.A. degree from Aquinas College, with a painting major and a printmaking minor. He earned a M.F.A. degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, NE, with a painting major and a printmaking minor.
They will discuss a variety of bone chilling cases, including: missing persons and murder mystery cases; ghost stories, scary stories and haunted places. The duo have been featured in several documentaries including A&E’s “Psychic Investigators” series, Travel Channel’s “Dead Files Revisited” series, Investigation Discovery’s “Six Degrees of Murder” series, and many more. They were also featured in the National Enquirer about their involvement in the Caylee Anthony missing person case.
Since 1976, Mr. Gibson taught at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, teaching all levels of drawing and painting, including at the graduate level. He retired from Edinboro University in December of 2012. His large paintings and drawings have been exhibited both nationally and regionally and have received many awards. His work is in numerous museum and gallery collections, such as The Albright-Knox Art Gallery, East Carolina University Museum of Art, Flint Institute of Art, SUNY System, Rochester Memorial Art Gallery, Sioux City Art Gallery, Springfield Missouri Museum of Art, and the University of Pittsburgh.
They encourage anyone to share unusual photos or stories, and will be offering a chance to win a psychic medium reading! Please bring a donation of cat or dog food for Animal Friends or a donation to the Sewickley Library Book Fund. Registration is required and fills up quickly for this popular program!
