The 2024-2025 Donor Report reflects growing philanthropic support for Severn School and the generosity of our entire community. It is our way of saying thank you for investing in the School at every level. Thanks to our caring community, strong leadership team, committed Board of Trustees and dedicated faculty and staff, we have marshalled the resources you have so thoughtfully committed to provide an outstanding education for our students, exemplary resources for our faculty and learning spaces that reflect the excellence of the work going on in our classrooms every day. In ways both large and small, every aspect of a Severn education has been impacted by your support.
As we all know, excellence is a dynamic state. The goals and aspirations of the School, our faculty and our students are too important to be limited by financial constraints. While Severn School, its students, faculty and staff have benefitted greatly from the generosity of our predecessors, we have an opportunity to add to that giving legacy and ensure Severn’s future by supporting the Severn Admiral Fund, endowment, financial aid and faculty professional development. It is inspiring to be witness to the growing culture of philanthropy within the Severn community. I see it in our volunteers, our parents and in our alumni.

From the Chairman of the Board
As I prepare to pass the gavel to Jonathan Kagan, our incoming Chairman, I would like to share a few reflections and extend my heartfelt thanks to the Severn School community.
If you haven’t had the chance to drive by the Lower or Upper School campuses recently, you’ll be delighted to see the remarkable progress of Our Future, Our Severn: A Promise. The energy across campus is inspiring as faculty and administrators work diligently to make this a very special year. Amid the busy season of planning, moving, and construction, I hope everyone finds a moment to pause and take pride in all we are building together.
This school year, I will experience something new—the first time in nearly 17 years that I won’t hold a direct role at Severn, aside from proudly bearing the title of “AP” (Alumni Parent). Serving on this exceptional Board for the past nine years, including two as Chair, has been one of the great honors of my life. I am deeply grateful for the dedication our supporters, donors, alumni, and faculty bring each day to advancing our mission: to pursue excellence in character, conduct, and scholarship, and to create a community where every child is known and valued.

Includes critical areas of the School’s operating budget, including technology in the classrooms and professional development, and directly benefits our faculty, programs, and resources.
ATHLETICS
Gifts support Severn Athletics, including equipment, supplies, coaches, and training that highlight the importance of integrity, sportsmanship and personal excellence in a competitive environment.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Through our community service program, we hope to instill in each of our students the lasting desire to serve others. Gifts support our service learning and community service initiatives.
