Product Description
Moxifloxacin 400 mg Tablet is a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections. Its once-daily dosing and strong antibacterial activity make it a preferred choice for moderate to severe infections.
Uses
Respiratory tract infections, pneumonia, sinusitis, bronchitis, skin and soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, and abdominal infections.
Indications
Community-acquired pneumonia, acute bacterial sinusitis, acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, and uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections.
Dosage
400 mg once daily or as directed by the physician.
Mechanism of Action
Moxifloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, preventing bacterial DNA replication and growth, thereby eliminating infection-causing bacteria.
Side Effects
Nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, weakness, and sleep disturbances.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to quinolones, history of tendon disorders, QT prolongation, and serious cardiac rhythm disorders.
