Dear Selfless Love Family, As we wrap up our first five years of fostering dreams for foster children, we are grateful for your selfless love more than ever. Due to your support, over 470 children have been matched with families and nearly 200 adoptions have taken place. We also served as an extension of family for thousands of youth who have aged-out of foster care by providing the resources and tools to transition them into successful, independent adults. Selfless Love Foundation focuses on improving foster care adoption in these three key areas: Family Support: Educating and raising awareness about adoption Adoption Advocacy: Working with state leaders to improve the foster care adoption process Case Worker Efficiency: Providing free access to a data driven application for child welfare workers to identify families for children in their care. Thanks to Selfless Love Foundation’s generous supporters, Adoption-Share’s Family-Match Program has been launched in Florida at no cost to families or child welfare agencies and has made a significant impact on the lives of current foster youth

Selfless Love Foundation collaborates with child welfare agencies to provide training, resources, and tools to impact the outcomes of

The Petion Family Adoptive Family
As Bella’s 18th birthday approached, she wondered if she would finally by adopted. That year, Bella received the best birthday gift, a family. The Petion family and Bella were a 100% match on Adoption-Share’s Family-Match. A perfect fit. Her perfect birthday gift. “As an adoptive parent who was matched with a teen through the Family-Match platform and as an administrator in the child welfare system partnering with Selfless Love, I have seen firsthand how this program will transform the way adoptive families are matched with available youth forever. Indeed, it is changing forever, one family at a time."

LIFE SKILLS REIMAGINED Success Stories
Azsha Transitioning Foster Youth
On September 8, 2020, Selfless Love Foundation launched an innovative Life Skills Reimagined pilot for 110 youth in the foster care system. This online platform is revolutionizing education for youth and youth adults working towards self-sufficiency. The courses teach youth an array of life lessons from using credit wisely, understanding income and taxes to getting an apartment and keeping a job. Shortly after we launched the program, youth began raving about the courses. In the first month, one such youth completed 64 of the 85 courses. “My motivation for completing Life Skills Reimagined courses was, of course, myself. Being a teen that has went through so much trauma as a child, I didn’t receive the help I needed to know and understand what happened to me, or how to even cope with the trauma. Completing the courses has helped me understand trauma and how it can affect the human brain. I've learned that being able to communicate effectively is perhaps the most important life skill. Another thing I have learned is the importance of resilience. It enables us to develop mechanisms for protection against experiences which could be overwhelming, it helps us to maintain balance in our lives during difficult and stressful periods, and can protect us from the development of some mental health difficulties and issues.”

BROWN'S HARBOR Success Stories
Anette Former Brown's Harbor Resident
Anette, a former foster youth and previous Brown’s Harbor Resident, was able to achieve her entrepreneurial dreams of launching her own LLC Cleaning Business. The support, mentorship, and trainings provided at Brown’s Harbor allowed her to achieve her goal. After successfully launching her business, Anette graduated from Brown’s Harbor and is now selfsufficient.
THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH CHILDREN’S HARBOR, SELFLESS LOVE FOUNDATION FORMED BROWN’S HARBOR, A SUPPORTIVE HOUSING COMMUNITY. BROWN’S HARBOR OFFERS ON-SITE STAFF, TRAINING, AND SUPPORT SERVICES FOR FORMER FOSTER YOUTH AGES 18-23, HELPING TO BRIDGE THE GAP FROM DEPENDENCE TO INDEPENDENCE. LOCATED IN BROWN’S HARBOR IS ALSO BROWN’S BOUTIQUE, A PLACE WHERE OUR RESIDENTS CAN HAVE CONFIDENCE “SHOPPING” FOR CLOTHING FOR EVERYDAY AND BUSINESS ATTIRE.
