(Guadalupe County) -Residents in Guadalupe County are getting a brief window to conduct outdoor burning. County leaders have temporarily lifted the burn ban – a bam that had just been extended days earlier. The decision was made after recent rainfall improved ground moisture levels across the county. The temporary lift will remain in place through Sunday, March 15, 2026, with the burn ban scheduled to go back into effect on Monday, March 16. County fire officials say the recent rains provided a short-term

reduction in wildfire risk, allowing residents limited time to address brush and vegetation. During the temporary lift, residents are reminded to follow county burn rules: · Fires must be attended at all times · Only natural vegetation, such as brush or tree limbs, may be burned · Burn piles must be at least 100 feet from structures Officials say safety remains a priority and urges residents to use caution while burning.
