Filing opens for Guadalupe Appraisal District Board Election Cindy Aguirre-Herrera
(Seguin) — Guadalupe County voters will have the opportunity this November to elect members to the Guadalupe Appraisal District Board of Directors. Candidate filing for three at-large positions is now open. The filing period began July 18 and continues through 5 p.m. Aug. 17. Three positions -- Place 1, Place 2 and Place 3 -- will appear on the Nov. 3, 2026 General Election ballot. Chief Appraiser Peter Snaddon says this year’s election marks the first time the board seats will appear during a November general election. He says the first election for the atlarge positions was held in May 2025.

(Seguin) — Two Katy residents have been arrested and charged with human trafficking and aggravated sexual assault. Seguin Police say a welfare check in Seguin early Wednesday morning led to the rescue of a woman who told police she had been kidnapped and sexually
assaulted. According to the Seguin Police Department, officers responded at approximately 12:47 a.m. to a report of a 26-year-old woman yelling for help in the 1600 block of State Highway 123 Bypass - north of Interstate 10. Trafficking, pg. 3
