GCSO, DPS conduct IH10 Safe Corridor Operation Zero crashes reported during three-day enforcement effort Cindy Aguirre-Herrera
(Seguin) – A more visible presence of patrol units on IH-10 is proving success in keeping drivers safe. The Guadalupe County Sheriff ’s Office, in partnership with the Texas Department of Public Safety, is sharing the results of its Operation IH-10 Safe Corridor. The operation was conducted February 3–5, along Interstate 10 in Guadalupe County. This high-visibility enforcement initiative focused on the active construction zone between mile markers 604 and 617. Sheriff ’s officials say its objectives were to reduce traffic crashes, increase compliance with traffic laws, deter criminal activity, and strengthen interagency coordination along one of the county’s busiest transportation corridors. Over the three-day operation, they say deputies and troopers conducted 298 total traffic stops, resulting in 156 citations and 191 warnings. Operation, pg. 3
