(Seguin) -- Want a seat on the Seguin City Council? Seguin residents interested in serving on the City Council have until 5 p.m. today, Monday, Aug. 17 to file for one of four seats up for grabs this November. The four seats on the November
ballot are currently held by Jim Lievens District 3, Paul Gaytan District 5, Jason Biesenbach District 7 and Bill Keller District 8. City Secretary Kristin Mueller says those interested will want to meet today’s deadline. Seguin, pg. 4
Seguin ISD school board filing deadline Monday The NEW McQueeney Cindy Aguirre-Herrera
(Seguin) -- Seguin ISD residents interested in running for school board have until 5 p.m. today to file for a place on the November 3rd ballot. Two positions are up for grabs this fall. Those positions include District 2, currently held by Alejandro Guerra, and District 5, currently held by Denise Crettenden. Applications are now available at the Seguin ISD Administration Building located at 1221 East Kingsbury Street. Seguin ISD Superintendent
Dr. Jack Lee encourages anyone interested to reach out to the district with questions. “The biggest thing with school board filing is just that it’s open. All of the information that we have is available on the school district website or on the secretary of state’s website. If there are people who are interested, they’re welcome to give us a call. We’ll try to answer any questions that we might have,” said Dr. Lee. The filing deadline is 5 p.m. today -- Monday, August 17th.

Navarro ISD trustee filing deadline finally arrives today Cindy Aguirre-Herrera
(Geronimo) — The filing deadline has also arrived for those in the Navarro ISD. Navarro ISD will hold its Board of Trustees election on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Voters will elect four at-large trustees to four-year
terms running from November 2026 through November 2030. Board members whose terms are expiring include Donna Gilliam, Dan Reinhard, Dr. Lacey Gosch and Joel Frederick. Navarro, pg. 4
