Deputies fatally shoot man during domestic disturbance in Guadalupe County (Seguin) -- A man is dead after Guadalupe County sheriff ’s deputies say they found him holding a knife to a woman’s neck during an early morning domestic disturbance. The shooting happened shortly before 3 a.m. Thursday at a home in the 400 block of Hurst Lane.

According to the Guadalupe County Sheriff ’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the home at approximately 2:43 a.m. after a man called 911 to report a disturbance. During the call, the man reportedly told dispatchers, “he is going to kill her.” Disturbance, pg. 3
Seguin celebrates its birthday tonight Darren Dunn
(Seguin) -- Seguin officially turns 188-years old this week, and the Seguin Conservation Society is hosting a big event to celebrate. The annual Seguin Birthday Party will be held Friday at the Texas Theatre. Conservation Society President Robin Shellard says they will be serving up a bacon wrapped chicken dinner and desserts will also be
offered as part of the event. “It’s going to be bacon wrapped chicken with sausage and mac and cheese, green beans, tea, pickles, and jalapenos.
