WEEKEND EDITION
Moonlight & Roses set for this Friday night
TODAY
Free event to include live music, desserts, awards Cindy Aguirre-Herrera
(Seguin) -- You’re invited to slow down, smell the roses and celebrate everything that makes downtown Seguin great. This Friday night marks the annual return of Moonlight & Roses. The free event will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Memorial Rose Garden located at Walnut Springs Park. Kyle Kramm, Seguin Main Street and DVB director, says the
event is designed to be an elegant night under the stars. “It’s annual tradition that is always held the first Friday in April and it’s a celebration of our downtown. We also have live jazz music in the rose garden and then there’s complimentary desserts in the park as well so it’s just a good evening to come out and enjoy the beautiful rose garden Roses, pg. 4
A spinning reminder
Fields of pinwheels have blossomed throughout Guadalupe County. The annual pinwheels are planted each April in observance of Child Abuse Prevention Month. Hosting the countywide effort is the Guadalupe County Children’s Advocacy Center. See story on page 2.
