Arrest made following domestic disturbance, shots fired in Guadalupe County (Guadalupe County) – A domestic disturbance involving gunfire has landed a 23-year-old man behind bars. The incident was reported in the 2300 block of FM 539. According to the Guadalupe County Sheriff ’s Office, deputies were dispatched at approximately 7:32 a.m. Thursday, April 23, after receiving a report of a disturbance involving shots fired at a residence. Investigators identified the suspect as Gavin Ramsey, 23, who had reportedly fled the scene in a white Dodge Ram pickup truck before deputies arrived. He was later spotted and detained without incident at the intersection of Elm Creek and Settlers Way. During the stop, deputies observed a firearm in plain view inside the vehicle. According to investigators, Ramsey had been involved in an argument with his wife at the residence prior to leaving the scene. During the altercation, Ramsey allegedly retrieved a firearm from

a safe, pushed his wife to the floor and pointed the weapon at her. Authorities said Ramsey also pointed the firearm at his motherin-law when she entered the bedroom during the incident. Investigators said Ramsey then left the residence and fired shots at his wife’s unoccupied vehicle. No injuries were reported. According to authorities, Ramsey later admitted to pointing the firearm at both women. He was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and transported to the Guadalupe County Jail.
