Boots and Butterflies annual gala set for Thursday Thriving Hearts Crisis Center to give domestic violence the boot Cindy Aguirre-Herrera
(Seguin) – Only a few tickets remain for this year’s Boots and Butterflies Annual Gala benefiting the Thriving Hearts Crisis Center. Thriving Hearts Crisis Center, formerly Guadalupe Valley Family Violence Shelter, is hosting the annual fundraiser this Thursday at the Seguin Coliseum. Crisis Center CEO Manijeh “MJ” Huereca says the fundraiser is not only an opportunity to showcase the shelter’s role in keeping families safe, but it’s also a chance for the community to see how it, too, can be a part of changing lives. “October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and we really strive to make an effort to get the word out there and this event is really a way to highlight how the community can come together to support some of our most vulnerable community members.
