Made in Seguin Students to tour Seguin’s Manufacturing industry (Seguin) -National Manufacturing Month, celebrated every October, highlights the essential role that manufacturing plays in the global economy and our daily lives. Manufacturing Month provides an opportunity for U.S. manufacturers to raise awareness of the industry and positively shift perceptions among students, educators, community leaders, and parents. As part of this celebration, the Seguin Economic Development Corporation, in collaboration with Seguin Independent School District, Navarro Independent School District, Marion Independent School District, and Southwest Preparatory School, will host the Made in Seguin Manufacturing Month Tours this Wednesday, Oct. 16. participated in this initiative, which features industry site tours for high school students. Seguin is home to nearly 8,400 manufacturing jobs – a concentration over four times the national average. These positions offer significant earning potential, with a median annual wage of $70,428, according to JobsEQ. Advanced manufacturing presents local students with numerous career opportunities right in their hometown.
